ut oh, sorry to hear that. On reflection, playing it 2 years on from when i first made it, it is harder than i thought. The timer and points system was to make it feel like an arcade styled game.
I think that if you press F2 or F4 you will go into God mode, where you will become invincible, so at least you can get through the level without dying :p

lol - i think i will delete Happening cos its not very good

but maybe if you have some spare time you would play the second level , Darkness - as although it doesnt have a story its a lot better and different to the first level

its currently going through the testing stage - so it should be ready within the next day or two,
its just i tried to make a Wars compatible version but it was really messing up, so i think i might just have to stick to a Crysis 1 version :(

either open up the console using the tidal key ` and then type in map cityassault

or just go to new game and it should load up the cityassault level

lol its true - level 1 is rather lame and not how i expected it to turn out at all.
i hope that with level 2 fully made i can make it scary - but yh - not knowing how to edit the lua AI files is a big draw back. i dont think i can make it really scary - but i hope at least its a fun level to play if not scary

hm that is odd.

when the game launches after the cmd window, does the words "city_decedere_L2" appear in the bottom right?

maybe try to (instead of going to new game) open up the console with the ` button and type in
map darkness

lol no problem - it sounds like an interesting premise
im guessing the parts in your opening paragraph when you are at sea would be cutscenes, since there isnt much gameplay there, and you could probably get some really nice cinematic scenes from that part.

the fog is actually a cloud :P and then you should be able to give it some movement to?

this is a solo project, a module where you get to do anything games related that you want to do, so long as it has a proper structure and meaning. it lasts the uni year which is roughly 6-8 months for each module (some modules have to be handed in before easter)- with 6 modules running per year, and we are expected to work 8hrs per day, though of course most people dont work that hard at the start of the uni year, and then work like 24/7 nearer to the deadlines lol.

So its just me making 99% of the content (i had to ask a few people for advise when i was suck and i got some sounds+textures from the internet etc).

We do also have a group project, which consists of 2 designers, 5 artists and 2 programmers. I'm not sure if im allowed to give out the uni documents about the module structure, but basically one half of the module is to produce a 'product' and the other half is writing up a report about how we went about doing every.

lol yes Amy is Wip - she is currently 6ft tall lol

hey thank you for your critism.
as this was a demo, there were quite a few things that i implimented that i wasnt too sure about whether to include or not, so your feedback is greatly appreciated so that i can work on making it better.

in terms of the screams, when i play tested and some friends tested - no one mentioned how much she screamed and i didnt know it was that much? so i will reduce her screaming only to when it is vital to a specific event, like the end cutscene.

as for the amount of monsters, i will also be reducing the amount of monsters that attack you. not really sure whats causing the sound issue, but i will look into it.

but as for the way you launch the mod, i think this is just a matter of opinion, as i have seen many mods being launched like this and i havent heard any complaints of other peoples. But i guess it wouldnt hurt to impliment both ways so i will try to do that. And the readme file doesnt really contain anything interesting and i know most people rarely read them, but i guess it wont hurt to include the file outside of the mod folder so i will do that too.

if you wanted to PM/email me the text that you wrote, i would be happy to read through it, to see how i can improve this Demo

Do you have the sdk 1.2 installed?
Did you unzip the "City_Assault_zipfolder" and place the "City_Assault" folder into 'Electronic Arts\Crysis\Mods' folder so that its 'Electronic Arts\Crysis\Mods\City_Assault' ?
