I noticed for whatever reason on the Confederacy campaigns, after the Tatooine one, I was no longer able to build command centers for the rest of the missions.

This is something I've always wanted. A special building like the Warcraft 3 altar that could recruit the main characters to fight with your army.

The thing I personally find awesome about this upcoming update is being able to have 3 different versions of the rebel alliance against 3 different versions of the empire. Awesomeness. But REALLY looking forward to more gameplay modifications like the advanced infantry building.

Like the altars in warcraft 3. I like this idea. Or a game mode where you may randomly get a hero of a unit type when you train it.

I wish this game still got official support so that maybe we'd have a hope of a grahpics update like Age of Empires II got. I love the gameplay of this one so much more but there's no denying AoE2DE is much prettier to look at lol. Maybe someday someone from Disney will see this and decide to update it.

OMG I can't believe I forgot about attack move haha. I'm pretty sure that's something I brought up in here ages ago. I just take it for granted because it's so commonplace in like every other rts.

Automatic farm reseed and fish trap rebuild too. In both games I never once used fish traps until AoE2DE made them auto replenesh. I wish they would do something like this for the worker repair ability.

Agreed. First thing I thought of when Age of Empires 2 Definitive Edition came out was "I wish Galactic Battlegrounds could get a facelift like this."

I don't know if anyone else has come across this but one bug I've noticed is that with the experimental bigger size maps sometimes the walls won't build. I don't know if this is also present on the stock smaller size maps. I have always only played the biggest size that came with the game.

One little tweak I've always hoped for with this game was getting the background music to loop again like it originally was supposed to. Also, for those like myself that might have multiple tracks in the music folder, and option to play tracks randomly as opposed to in order would be nice.

I'm still holding out hope for the "3D rendered water" effect like in Age of Empires II HD.

Any possibility to add more player slots and colors? In the stock game you can have a standard game with one player representing every faction. That is no longer possible due to your wonderfully added factions.

Other than these small little pet peeves, good work on the mod. I LOVE what you guys have done with this game and I look forward to seeing what comes next.

So I've been testing this out on the biggest maps with 8 players since that seems to be the quickest way to get the game to crash. I've always had problems with this game crashing on me even before I had started using the mod. I'm only on day 2 of testing but so far I haven't had one single crash. I'm very impressed and grateful that you guys seem to have finally figured out whatever was causing me to not enjoy this game uninterrupted. Thanks a bunch! :)

A couple personal inquiries. Music seems to stop after it finishes playing regardless of how many or few tracks I have in the music folder. Any insight on getting said tracks to loop automatically? And also I was wondering how gamebreaking it would be to make nerfs (or a slightly less productive variant making nerfs still more important) trainable from the animal nursery. Sometimes those random maps just don't give you any herd animals lol.

The nightsisters are a GREAT addition and look really cool. I thought the Zann Consortium was a neat addition before but never had that big of an urge to play as it. But the recent updates to flesh it out have really made it shine and seem professionally done. Kudos to you my friends.

One of my friends at work saw me playing on my laptop and had an idea. A building that would allow players to hire neutral units, like the mercenary camps in Warcraft 3. The units available could be based on the map script or by the variant of neutral building. Such an idea would easily incorporate some of the minor civs into standard games like the tusken raiders, jawas, ewoks, and trandoshans, without the need to create entire tech trees for each. Just an idea.

Also, along the lines of Warcraft 3, the idea of a new building type in the military group that lets you recruit a hero unit for your faction. But it would need some triggers so you could only have one of that particular hero at a time.

I always thought it would be a fun mod to merge AoE2 into Galactic Battlegrounds and pit the different civs against the aliens and droids. lol

Ok I just recorded a game crash. It made 2 files, a txt and a dmp. Which do you want, or do you want both? And how shall I send it to you?

Also I was wondering if you guys have any plans to do something with the water like how Age of Empires II HD added some nice rendering to it to make the terrain look less like a static motionless painting. I imagine the same thing is possible with Galactic Battlegrounds since they are both made in the same game engine.

How exactly do I go about creating a crash dump? It never pops up with an option to see what went wrong. Simply says "Galactic Battlegrounds: Expanding Fronts has stopped working"

Any plans to make the game more stable? I have WinLauncherXP running the game on one core and also compatibility mode running xp service pack 2 and limited to 256 colors and the game still "stops working" on me. Sometimes rather quickly. It's annoying as hell since this is my favorite game but due to its age I can't seem to run it for any extended length of time.

This mod looks GREAT and I was excited to try it to spice up the old campaigns that I've played to death. I quickly noticed however the first three campaigns won't play at all with this mod. Any way to fix that?
