Thanks a ton, we're just happy to finally have given out a small Alpha video, after months upon months of work we finally have something to show besides screenshots :P

Speak for yourself Maxx, I still love L4D. Pre-Ordered L4D2 as well. It's an entirely different sort of game though, but it's still fun as hell with friends.

That's the plan, actually.

This update is huge. Not only does it (hopefully) finally squash all the beliefs that we're completely dead, but the fact that we have a game that WORKS, FINALLY, after almost 6 years of me being here (On and off the team, time and again), is huge. Personally, this is a huge motivator for me. I've finally seen our project come to life. And, well, it's awesome.

As always, map screenshots, and all screenshots actually, are all works in progress. We figure we can show you all WIP stuff to show you we're working, or do what the old teams used to do and not show anything for 6 months at a time :P

Jesus. Will you people ever stop commenting on something you're not a part of and declaring it dead? Our domain name expired, and the owner was at work. He got home, renewed it, and everything is AOK. I swear, it's all doom and gloom over here.

Well, I kind of wish you hadn't posted that, but oh well, harms already done now. But yes, those are my thoughts.

Just make sure that there are no NMRiH created assets in it, as we're still alive, and using those props and textures, thanks.

I call BS.

I've been there for about 5-6 years now, and there's been no 'Official Cancellation' of any sort. Mr. Epidemic over here is our 'PR' rep, and he's done a horrible, horrible job at it. In fact, he's one of the lackluster staff members that have plagued this mod. At the very least we can expect maps to be ported to L4D, if not weapons and some features as well. The L4D SDK is coming out very soon, so there's no reason for this, Epidemic.

And here's an official post from the mod leader on OUR forums :

"Unfortunately, it looks like I was removed from the NMRiH ModDB profile... which is ********. I don't appreciate him making announcements and posting things about the project (and myself) without ever consulting me once (I haven't talked to him in close to 3 months at least). It's a very ******* thing to do, especially to someone who allowed you to be a part of their project for so long. However, nothing is really progressing with the mod at all. I am far too busy with work and I travel a lot, too much to be worrying about this project right now. It seems like things will never get done, at least at this point. Maybe once they release the L4D SDK I'll take a look at to some things we can do, but don't expect to hear much from me about any progress anytime soon. I also never got any of the files/source code back from when the FTP was taken down when we were hacked, so progress at this point could never happen anyways unless the FTP was put back online, which I don't have control over.

Thanks guys for keeping with me after all this ********. And **** people who are ********, you know who you are. Maybe I'll transform the NMRiH community into something different... something better... something not revolving around a 'dead' project. We'll see.

There is lots of progress though, things are going great!

Zombie Panic Source is released. And I have first hand experience that they were tricking people into voting for them in IRC by saying it was the download link on release day.

That trailer you speak of, is at least 2, if not 3 years old.

It was a 'Hey, someone did something cool' kind of thing, until we realized he spelled zombie as 'zombPie'.

But yeah, it doesn't show anything, because it was back when we had nothing.

Damn, nice job. Good to know there's at least 2 different good Zombie mods out there, plus the fact that you're SP, we can totally be buddies!

Not sure if you're aware, but there's already a Romero zombie mod in progress for Half-Life 2...No More Room In Hell.

Any ideas you get from Redfox McBeth are almost definately stolen from any of the other 100 zombie mod's he's been on, including No More Room In Hell. People need to stop copying us.

The Other Side is on hold until FI is released, and DitA is indefinately on hold...heh...

When I get your E-Mail, real name, and some previous work :P...I've got a whole plan for the 1st chapter and Prologue all done now...Oops...Wasn't supposed to say that...I mean, it is 33 maps so far...Uh..

Considering the name ExistenZ is from a movie, which I realize was just played on TV Last week, and that it has to do with a virtual reality game gone wrong, may I ask where you came up with this name?
