Really great mod. It's interesting historical setting and ability to start as a king really make this mod a lot of fun right from the start. Might just be me, but the advanced formations in the mod are either not working or I am unaware on how to properly execute them. Other than this potential gripe though, the alpha is remarkably stable and the textures, armors and scenes look very professional. I hope they continue to add even more features to this respectable mod.

The game itself is quite entertaining, if a little shallow and repetitive in the late game. The real-time combat system is easy to get the hang of but very difficult to master, and its satisfying to go on an utter rampage through a multiplayer map. Mount and Blade Warband's true selling factor, however, is in its modding community. Very few other games can boast a similarly diverse or well-thought selection of mods, which range from simply tweaking the existing game's mechanics to reworking every aspect of gameplay. A hidden gem of a game that definitely deserves its upcoming sequel.

One of the best modifications for Warband, hands down. Despite using the vanilla factions and map it feels like a new game. Everything from the new recruitment system, to the combat abilities, to the new battle options really make up for the lack of depth and strategy in the native. Can't wait for all the reworked troops to be released.
