It's year 1200 AD, war and peace are at stake in Spain. Both Muslims and Christians coexist, often fighting, always distrsuting each other. The Almohad Caliphate controls the Southern half of the Peninsula and has recently defeated king Alfonso of Castille in the Battle of Alarcos. On the other hand, Hispanic kingdoms are splitted up and torn by continuous struggles. War is inminent...
Okay, after playing for a couple of hours, I must say, I am impressed. Really impressed. The long version:
This is one of the best "1st version" mods I have ever seen. I haven't explored the troop trees in huge detail, but from what I've seen they seem to be in balance. Great costumes, great graphics, an absolutely FANTASTIC User interface, clean and crisp. The dialogues are very well done, they add a lot of flavour and the new NPCs I have run into, seem very interesting and fitting to the setting. The loading time is very good and there seems to be little to no lag, even in a medium PC rig I have tried it. In a good rig, with full graphics, it's just awesome. The factions are well thought and the map is gorgeous, many settlements and as far as I can see in the correct locations. I especially like the "Europa" and "Africa" labels in the map, in those two respective areas. That's great and when zooming out, it seems like a real map, very nice idea putting those in there.
My only small gripe is the lack of weapons. It's a minor thing, really, since the existing once are very good as medieval weapons of the time, but I would really like some historical weapons, from the great deal of OSPs that exist. But that's a rather personal preference, so no really a 'fault' of the mod.
tl;dr: The mod is excellent and I imagine that it will be close to perfection in next versions. Please, do yourselves a favor and play it.
Well, well. I've been playing this mod for some days and I only can say HOLY SH*T, MAN! The setting is wonderful; the battles well made and inmersive; the formations clever and tasty; the voices JUST EPIC! (in fact, it could be that I had heard before the voice that gives the commands in battle?); the characters, companions, kings and claimants are SO WELL MADE AND ACCURATE!; the places are correctly placed and named in most of times (it's Ourense, mates. I'm galician and that hurted me a lot); the scenes are fantasticaly made by a devout hand; the sieges battles are from the best I have seen in M&B, allowing you to pass trought the gates by breaking them with your men is, well, beautiful; the castles scenes deserve an own mention. Just take a walk around and see the tons of work on it.
I could only play the v 1.0 and be content. But I want moreee. MOOOORE. This mod have the potential to be the perfect mod and be top 10 even after years with no posting. With Diplomacy, Freelancer and some homemade features it could be sold as a game of his own. So, when you end this lines, you should immediately download this mod if you haven't made it already. You won't regret it. Unless you are a ****.

Mod is very interesting from a historical point of view, and fascinating gameplay with side.
Already a couple of times looked for books on the history of Spain to complete perception.
I hope that in the future, the patch will freelamcer, like other modern modes. Thank you for mod !!!
Bueno llevo unas horas jugando y por lo pronto me esta atrapando mucho, se nota que hay mucho trabajo y cariño empleado en el mod. Me alegra mucho que se produzca algo de tanta calidad en mi país, las voces geniales no se si son grabadas o de archivo pero quedan muy bien, también me gusta mucho los gestos que hacen los npc’s mientras hablas con ellos le da realismo, además las ciudades están muy trabajadas y bien acabadas felicidades de verdad.
Si pudiera añadir algo seria la opción de alistarte a las tropas como soldado, algo que he visto en otros mods por lo demás 10/10. Me esperan muchas horas de vicio muchas gracias.
This is easily one of the best historical mods mods for Warband. Everything is top but what really stands out are the beautiful and unique scenes you can find here, they're just a masterpiece and almost photo realistic and brings to life the "Reconquista" era and the great battles of the time. You actually want to enter villages to talk with the elder in this mod just to watch the scenes xd Everything is well detailed from troops equipment to menus and scenes. Really if you're a historical lover you need to download and play this.
Wonderful game play and ambiance. I've played this for hours and will certainly go back. The music and voices are great. The opportunity to jump in as a land holding noble or king is unique.
I wish I had a seneschal or patrols to defend my villages from smallish raiding parties.
Fantastic setting and an incredible historical accuracy, everything is great and the new castles are simply astonishing. cnat say much more, the mod is almost perfect
A really well put together mod the offers a wonderful treat to the eye's and enjoyment in a game that without such wonderful mods gets a little bland. Wonderful job guys 10 for 10!
This is a excellent mod! Playing this caused me to look up the reconquista and become interested in the history of spain. The look of all the villages and towns creates great immersion and the little details, and great new animations really make for a solid mod. I hope the author keeps adding other features but even as it is I love it!
