I love the mod, truly one of the best doom mods ever made, because lets face it, there is so much here, that the only thing this and brutal doom share in common really is some of the brutal doom guns, the gore effects which have been amplified, the same vanilla enemies, with more abilities, much more dangerous, and glory kills which lets all remember, BRUTAL DOOM DID IT FIRST, Bethesda copied the greatest DOOM mod in 20 years, and showed it off like it was the emperor's new clothes.

Now

The worst problem that this has is that the dynamic progression setting for the enemy spawns is ****. The enemies only change every 10 levels in a 30 lvl megawad, and after 3 different vanilla doom 2 map packs, I never saw any weapon upgrade till level 26.

This mod would be sooo much better if it slowly introduced harder versions of an enemy, making them appear not all all, for the first 3 levels, as a warm up, and equipment stock up opportunity. Then for the rest of the game, the chance of spawning a harder tier II III or IV enemies depends on each level number, with the frequencies of the monsters starting at a bottom limit of a 5 or 10% chance, an each tier having a parabolic arc that spans so many levels, an arc that is 11-13 levels long, and peaks out in the center at 55-70% chance of spawning an extra of that tier. Weapon upgrades should be spaced out pretty much the same way, but of course, much lower spawn chances.

If just this minor tweak was added then you would have an experience which I think would be better in pretty much every way than Brutal Doom, which is saying a LOT. Sure it would require play testing to make sure the values of each parabola are balanced, and I'd be happy to be one of them ;)

Thanks for the info, and for taking the time to give all us STALKER fans another run for NO MONEY! I'm quite excited to see this game continue to grow well past the point of having so much more quality content than the original 3 games, it's like a 4th game that was released as an expansion. It is one of very few STALKER mods that has had that potential, and we all see it.

Do you have an estimate of when 1.4.x patches will be finished? I love the concept, and the game, and especially the addons, but it is a royal pain in the *** to download 8 different addons about once a week, only for the game to break sometimes upon updating.

A time frame of when you think 1.4 FINAL will be released would be great.

For a mod like this though, where not only you are working and updating constantly, but more than a dozen community members with their own addons are doing the same thing, you should really consider incorporating a launcher into the game. Find a good open source launcher/updater and configure it, or make a very simple one yourself. If you use P2P to roll out updates for the official game, and official addons, and allow community members to use your updater for their own content, you wouldn't even have increased maintenance costs, just seed out to 20 people, and let the P2P network take care of the rest.

Please Please PLEASE add sound sliders for monster SFX weapon SFX and Environment SFX. The balance of levels just sounds muddy.

I have been fiddling with the sound options for 20 minutes, but it seems the player weapon is waaayy to quiet, the ricochets from your weapon are 3 times louder than the weapon itself. Is there a set of preferred options or are you guys experiencing the same thing?

Same thing is happening to me, the download times out, but the connection still appears to be active. I have tried at least a dozen times to download this file, across 5 different mirrors, times out on every one.

yeah, copied mod unlocker into Ravensheild/mods, because I have IW renamed ironwrath.mod to ironwrath2.mod Put everything where it is supposed to be, and still nothing. Neither mod unlocker or ordinance project shows up in the custom game menu.

I can figure out how to make mods work with nearly every game there is, but I can't get any Raven Shield mods show up. I even tried to make a shortcut for each individual mod. Mod Unlocker nor ordinance project 1.4 shows up in the custom game menu under options. I've got RS 1.60 AS 1.10 and IW. Anyone know what the problem is?

I just want to be sure on something here. after playing this mod I noticed how improved it looks, the shooting mechanics are better, the awesome new guns, and the creatures from call of pripyat, but this mod doesn't actually add new quests/missions does it?

as for the precaching, I don't think it is entirely my problem, as I am running my system with a 9800 GT and getting 80-100 frames per second. just saying. I have 4 gigs of pc 6400 ram too, not the best, but It should definitely be fast enough.

1 more thing, although I am very pleased, as I stated earlier, that you added 7.62x39 guns, they all kind of suck. In fact, most of the ak's suck, even the an-94 and ak-103. I have fired an ak-103 (civi version) numerous times, and it is hella accurate by any assault rifle standards. The main point I wanted to make though, was that the 7.62x39 guns don't really reflect their real life counterparts. the 7.62x39 should do a lot more damage than a 5.45, but not be as accurate. a 5.45 at muzzle energy is around 1,000 ft-lbs and a 7.62x39 is around 1,500 ft-lbs. the 5.45 does have a better ballistic coefficient, but the 7.62 still does more damage, even at range.

Found problem. Mosin Nagant says in description that it can mount a pso 1 scope, but it really can't. I have not seen a PU scope in the game, so I suppose you intended for either the pso 1 to work, or just as a placeholder until you make a PU scope. Mosin should also be a little bit more accurate, and the bolt action should be quite a bit quicker, (I would know, I own two).

Also, not having stuff precached kind of sucks, such as when I am approaching the city with the 100 rads bar. after crossing the bridge over the dry river bed (with all the rabid dogs) The game completely freezes for 3 seconds or more and it does this 3 or 4 times. Thru out the world this happens as well, except usually only once.

I don't know if it is in the game, as I have not finished with this mod by a long shot, but you should but in the PSL rifle if you havent already. Its accuracy should be about a halfway point between the SVD and the Mosin. I would basically be a minor reskin of an SVD, and you would have a new gun!

It has some problems, but overall they are pretty insignificant. It is an EXCELLENT mod, adding much more immersion. I love you for all the AK variants you threw in, I COULD NOT BELIEVE THERE WERE NO 7.62x39mm GUNS IN THE VANILLA GAME!!! Cant wait for the 1.1 release!

MISSING Russians
etc.

I thought that maybe one of those would be a new faction, but no.

also, alot of the maps were missing too.
