for middle east style and east asian style, I suggest to use Turkish style and Chinese style, for they have a common looks which can fit all 4 civs in their area well. If not, take an example, if using japanese style for east asian, it cannot fit mongolians and koreans and chinese.
units looks just too european. how about make 3 set of units, one for european, one for arabian and the last for far east?

don't worry with age of steppes. units are almost done. we are working in buildings textures now and it may be the last tough work to do.
You are right. A mod cannot be changed greatly during the middle of its process.
by groping them into 5 parts: Asians, Muslims, Orthodox, Catholics, Steppes. They have equally factions.
Asian Light Cavalry (age 2), Keshik (age 1-2)
Chinese Crossbow (age 3), Samurai (age 3), Korean Noble Swordman (age 1)

Inspiration is the thing I wanna find in K&B most. While, I may copy and edit something, not straight copying, but a little similar to it.
I may take part in this team but I also wanna make my own mod and you can see the image above. It has been deeply done in all kinds of works, and have a different style from K&B. So I must have a think on this suggestion.
What inspire me to repick my mod is your works, but I'm afraid that I can't do my mod work better than you.
