You can use xash3d if you have the won version. But I have test it in the definitive version before. There was a xash3d bug when you dive you remain crouched until next level. It is reminded that you need the latest version from steam. -HonScottoSolo

To answer your question, yes but you need the latest version from steam. Also to play other modes you need console enable to play it.

Quick question: where is the newest verison of this patch fix.

It does launch the mod, and works but haven't tried the other modes.

I tried it on xash3d, but there is a problem with xash3d and Half-Payne. When you shootdodge, you can't get back up, you are stick in crouch until the next part of the level. I'll still ask you to stick with the Steam version of Half-Life.

Just a quick question. What version of the unity engine is this one?

It should have a readmefix.txt use it wisely.
