Total War : 1942

Mod review may contain spoilers

Started a game as Romania, fought a massive battle where i slaughtered multiple soviet armies in one long battle ending with one artillery and a couple mortars defended by less than 100 men and by the end every jeep with a machine gun was down Except for the general whom had been promoted from a mere garrison commander to the royal family. After the valiant death of the king at the hands of Hitler he was crowned the new King. Due to our failure to take over russia it appears he found us an unfit ally and demanded I become a protectorate. Which we accepted, then next term they swarmed my entire nation. With the last of our kingdom we took back Istanbul and now my struggle for survival in a harsh world continues. Definitely worth the challenge.

Stargate - Empire at War: Pegasus Chronicles

Early access mod review

If you can tolerate crashes every now and again then you are in for an awesome fight.

Morrowind Rebirth 6.61

Mod review

Makes the game much better, shows a wealth of skill and bugs are rare and fixable by the great developers of this mod. They deserve a lot of praise and support for all the good they've done with this mod.

The Elder Scrolls: Total War

Mod review

Mostly stable, great battles and lots of actual campaigns! By that I mean different settings and time periods to choose from.

Only mod I've ever seen that in.

Edit: From 9 to 10 due to the fact that things are more lore friendly now.

The Reckoning Third Stage

Mod review

Have seen vast improvement and is more stable now than ever but still could be expanded. This is basically like bringing Rage, The Walking Dead and Fallout all together into something sardonic.

The Fourth Age: Total War

Mod review

If you want to feel like your in a Post Lotr Middle Earth, this Dark game is for you. Men have risen to power, many tribes and city states War against one another. Elves and dwarfs have been driven to near extinction, withdrawn to scattered enclaves. And Orcs hide dormant awaiting the call of a new master.

The Reunited Kingdom struggles to retain order as another Kingdom just as large and powerful has risen to claim the mantle of Numenor in the east. You can choose to turn to the Ways Of The West, The Ways Of Darkness, or even turn to the Shadow Cult!

The choice is yours. Remember even if things look bleak.

"Defeat May Be Glorious"-Bilbo Baggins

PS: Just wanted to thank you guys for the mod and all your work, know your bringing smiles to people who a lot of times don't have much to smile about.

I love the griddy dark age feeling it gives. I most of all very much like hard mods and games.

I thank you all for creating a mod that for the first time playing as Far Harad, I was actually beaten fair and square for the first time in many years. I read the quote by Bilbo in the loading screen and smiled snickering.

Now I'm adapting on my second play-through and took the advice to lower the campaign difficulty.(but im keeping the battle dif on Live Dragons!)

Most mods and Total War Games were simply too easy, players love a challenge. And don't be afraid to continue the element of realism and struggle, the logical complexity of governance is intellectually arousing.

Also the traits ect. are the most realistically immersive I've ever seen on the characters. Great writing and music as well.

A World of Ice and Fire (Game of Thrones)

Mod review

I've never written a review before honestly. But I think the maker of this mod really deserves credit for his hard work. So far I am a few hundred days into my second game as a red bearded Wildling.

PROS

Factions-8.5
The factions I've came across have been just like the book and show with fitting armour and weapons. Though so far I've mostly only came across the Wildlings(I am one) and the Nights watch in an endless fight over the wall.

Troops-8.5
The armour and weapons and detail in the many I've come across really show the hard hours shown in texturing them.

Scenes-10
My favorite part of this mod honestly are the scenes. From fighting in a far northern cave to hiding in an roadside inn from the Kings Men. You will find each scene a delight even in the dark, cold griddy landscape.

Map-8
Westeros is greatly detailed and well done in shape and locations.
Essos is somewhat sparse and peaceful but full of large dangerous bands of bandits.
A very active map with many patrols and groups roving about.

BATTLES-10! Battle size is 750! And therefore field battles are much cooler with Bytenwalda styled fighting which rewards the skillful player. And good battle maps that reflect the areas well.

MUSIC-7
Cool music most of all the song for the far north which is mostly wind. However not many tracks.

CONS

Bugs- A few

There are some bugs yet to be squashed that prevent this from being a 10 BUT many are being fixed rapidly and the modder is showing his hard work and dedication in doing so even with all the negative feedback he surely gets.

Not enough to be game breaking but enough to be a hinderance.

Quests- Many Seem somewhat unstable and unfinished

Music-

Some musical tracks or noises from native that throw off immersion since Im a vet player.
And not many tracks for traveling it seems.

Except I use my own spotify playlist called 'Dark Ages' my spotify account is Josh42392

So this isn't a problem.

Please keep up the good work and perfect this mod!

My one bit of advise is to please not shrink the map. I like its size the way it is.
