Hey guys, I just installed 4.0 for AS and it's fantastic, good work!
However, I noticed while in I was enabling the mod in the options menu that there was another mod called Test Mode V1. Here is the description:
"test mode (1)
Enable the test mode for Men Of War: Assault Squad multiplayer. Warning: this mode is extremely demanding, may cause performance issues and is unstable. Usage at your own risk."
I haven't installed any other mods and I hadn't gone to that options menu before installing DCG so I am wondering, did this come with DCG or is it a base part of AS?
Are those supposed to be Earthshaker emplacements?

You dont seem to understand me. The people you are referring to in that post are talking about SupCom and TA. The "Old one" is what many of us came here to get.
Must you really ask? It's garishly obvious....
The overall Muchness is gone. And that about sums it up. It got simplified, dumbed down. Total Annihilation and SupCom were about being big, about being Massive and going farther than any strategy game before them. And SupCom2? Well... Pretty graphics and new units can only get you so far.

Yes, something many have seemed to forgotten. No matter though. You can always just keep the Vanilla mod, it's straight up awesome and Lore friendly.
Yeah well, I and I'm sure many others, came to this mod because we wanted the old style of Supreme Commander and Total Annihilation with the graphics and new units of SC2. That was the Mod's original intended purpose, and it seems it has deviated from that path. So don't expect everyone to be happy with how it's going now, they came here for a better experience in SC2, not a completely new game.
All the power to the creators though, they can do as they wish. It IS they'r mod.
Eh. I just got back to playing the revamp mod, (as i am in texas for awhile which is the only place I CAN play it.) And I have a question.
When you upped the population limit did you take off the AI's leash? Was there soem kind of block that stopped it from just overproducing everything that you took off? Because while I dont remember it being like this it sure as hell is now.
This'll be fun Madface. I always liked that style of gameplat, even if I could never win. XD

This unit is super! Much better than the old one!
Though I have to say that i dislike the tracks. They *are* too small for a tank that size. Make them taller, and longer, possibly sticking out beyond the tank, and it would seem plausible. But I don't see that thing moving as it is now. Also, the base of the tank, between the treads that is, is practically touching the ground, seems a bit unusable that way. But who knows.
Snazzy. Time to open that can of whoop-*** on the ground units.
While it looks great with legs, it also looks like it would be very very happy if it were hovering... I'm torn!
Anyhow, The Illuminate just got a whole lot scarier.
I actually much prefer the originals, or at least some of them. To me, these look far more..... Eccentric than useful. While I like the new Aeon commander because it just looks and feels better than the original, and I think the Cybran's wouldn't be far off with the anime-style commander, due to their robotics, spindly parts, etc.
The UEF would never consent to such a thing. And It looks NOTHING like a UEF unit. Honestly.
Also, I have to point out that the Cybran and UEF ACU's look fairly identical, and I know I'm not the only one who see's this. It would be far better in my opinion if the UEF one got switched back to his original revamped model. Although thinned out to fit the theme I guess...
I've been away for some time so I guess I missed something, but I'd like to add that Supreme Commander was originally a peoples game, (Total Annihilation, etc). The game was such a hit, and so heavily modded that chris Taylor (Who was a fan of the game) took all the most well used mods and formed it all up into one nice bundle that didn't require all that bustle and fuss to run.
Even without the Interview that Madface provided, it would be unethical of him to deny modding, and no one would give a **** if he did.
Please correct me if I'm wrong on any points and my apologies for the rather weak contribution. It's 5 AM.
Also, can I request the mod when it is released please?
I'm open to revamp but this doesnt look Mavor-ish enough to me...

This is a lot better! To all you saying it needs more armor on the torso go back one picture and look at the changes he's made already. You'll see that it has already been improved.
