Thank you for your help,I will try and tell you as soon as I have the opportunity.Good luck with your progress!
Thank you for your reply! I did not use that command in the shortcut. I just set the "Sensitivity"( of "Construction","Resource Collection","Research","Experience", I think so) to "Normal" (default: "Low") and well, the AI set for the 2 Vaygr opponents was just "standard" while the AI set for my Hiigaran ally was "Hard"! Btw, in my experience(through a long, hard replaying skirmish), to have a sound balance in a 2-vs-2 game,I must set the AI for Hiigaran ally to "Expert" and the other 2 Vaygr opponents to "standard". Even that, my Hiigaran ally had to desperately try to manage Vaygr's "capital ship spam" backed up by "frigate and strikecraft swam" tactics!!!
Greetings siliconworm, I'm very impressed with your new update, but once again lagging almost annihilated the beauty of your mod! I have heard that Nakamura has been succeeded in eliminate the disastrous lag. I wonder if you intend to use his Complex Enhance for a new base for your mod to improve performance in the next update?
Thank you for your reply Nakamura. In my opinion, there has been a problem since Complex 8 first release: the balance. I'm sorry but according to my experiences, in this Complex Enhanced, balance is still a problem: AI of Hiigara ally is not really good, and Vaygr is still a little too strong with their "capital ship spam" and "quantity" tactics!! In a game,I allied with a hard AI Hiigaran to fight 2 Standard Vaygr, the AI Hiigaran is still being overwhemed by the Vaygr, even though they built 3 Battle Arks(!!!) and I managed to hold the other Vaygr in bay!!! It seems that AI Hiigaran just did not know how to wisely manage and mobilize its units, what a shame!(Note: It seems to happen even in the very first release of original Complex and it really makes the game very tired for player to play again and again in order to find a sound balance ingame, you know, because the crew and research systems are really time-cost and RU-cost to manage and to have a reasonably heavy force in mid-game is really exhausting(at least for my poor eyes and back, lol!) and if then, you see that your effort to survive the battle being annihilated by some bad AI Hiigaran Ally is really depressed!!!)
This is really a great mod! Btw, I'd like to ask one question: Have you remove/hide the "Retire" function of v.8.5.2? Because I can not order any units to retire ingame!! It appeared to be "hidden". Is it related to any issues that I may not know?
It is nice to see bloodfleet back online with another stunning mod! Goodluck to your new project and hope to experience its official release soon! Btw, I'd like to ask one question: beside this new project,do you intend to continue working with FreeSpace: Fleet Command?
Did you mean setting the Detail Geometry Scaling to Off? If that is the case, then I'm afraid I tried it also but nothing worked! It's still unplayable(I think it's related to Battle Ark in my game). Have you found any solutions in your Complex Enhanced yet? Thank you for your help anyway.
Thank you for your help! Then I think I just have to sacrifice "capital ship clash" for the good of the Hiigaran, because with me,Hiigaran is irreplaceable! I can not play any other races, lol!! Btw,in your opinion,at which unit capacity should I try for a reasonably smooth game?
Hello, siliconworm!I have something to share with you.
First, this is a great mod!I have a lot of fun time playing it,and as you said,"excavate the full potential of Homeworld 2". In my opinion, with your mod,we even do not need Homeworld 3!
Second,I think the mod still lags like hell, almost "unplayable" in middle and late game, especially when Battle Ark and/or Hiigaran Battleship are called! I know this is the problem from Complex, which your mod is based on as you said and so definitely not your own problem, but I still see this is really an annoying bug! I know you have been working quite hard, trying to improve this laggy situation, and I saw many improvements,I really appreciate your effort...but in my opinion, the laggy problem is still very severe! I do not have such a powerful computer like you do,but I think mine is still pretty strong(it can play Supreme Commander with almost no problem at the highest graphic settings). I have try everything, from turning on the Geometry Scaling(which even resulted worse),to setting the LOD to low, then shutting off(in the Video Options of the game) but nothing worked!I do not know if you have found any decisive solution for this problem....
I'm sorry if my comment is too long, and once again, thank you for an outstanding mod, siliconworm!
I must say that BloodFleet's mods are so awesome! They're really nice and cool, not like some mods, which were "advertised" too much and just made the original game worse!! With BloodFleet's mods,I think there's no need to have Homeworld 3!!!(Because as I know, the development team of Homeworld 1 and 2 has left Relics and form a new stuio-Stardock so I'm afraid Homeworld 3,if being developed, will not have the "spirit" of the good old days!).But in my opinion,to enjoy the fineness of BloodFleet's Free Space:Fleet Commander, you will have to have a really strong computer(at least 1 GB RAM,I think, and strong video card of course)!
It's quite a long time! But it worths waiting! I hope you will have more free time to complete the first release sooner! Can't wait to get onboard one of your new flagship!
This is mod is very interesting.I love your new vessel models! Please keep up the good work! By the way,do you have any point of when your mod will be released? I suggest you upload it on moddb, instead of filefront, because many people have been encountering error with filefront/gamefront!
