Did that myself once. I NEVER get the power recirculator then. :(

That question had formed in my mind.

Tried installing it over release 1 & got a, "Can't find file or package HDTPPanim" error.

What is this wyndoze 98se? This kind of nostalgia I DON'T need.

Jokes aside it'd be nice if the beta package included some installation instructions.

Thanks, guys.

THAT is a tough one! You can avoid killing her until you meet her blocking your exit from UNATCO HQ.

Only thing I can think of is try to run downstairs toward Manderley's office, go by it, run upstairs again and out the door.

Not sure if that, 'roundy-roundy' thing would work but that's the best I can think of. If you try this please post the results here.

How about a second, 'hoarde' location: That closet in Paul's Hell's Kitchen apartment. Would be a good spot given how often the player revisits that area.

Maybe make the key in the middle of Castle Clinton (on the way to Lebadev's 747) actually unlock something? Be nice to have that Easter egg actually DO something.

J.C. should have his own repair bot in his UNATCO office. That or there should be one in UNATCO's MedLab. There are enough MechAugs around to justify it.

A repair bot at the Free Clinic in Hell's Kitchen wouldn't be bad, either. After all the bots are supposed to do, 'augmentation work.'

Making Microbial Muscle/Combat Strength an automatic aug MIGHT be interesting--if it were implamented properly.

I'd like to see the standard 10mm pistol & crowbar taken out as default pickups. If players have a stealth pistol, magnum or a sword the regular pistol & crowbar become as big an annoyance as the combat knife.

I'd personally agree with being able to upgrade the infolink to neural interface capabilities, i.e.

Tech 1 Normal operation, receive messages
Tech 2 Direct interface with computers for short periods, as in 'Trained'
computer skills
Tech 3 Interface time & hacking ability increases, ala 'Advanced' computer skills
Tech 4 All hacking skills with NO time limit.

Upgrading the Infolink could automatically upgrade, 'computers' in the skills menu so there'd be no conflict.

I THINK there's a global crosshair on/off in the game options. That may be no good to you, though if you want to do this on a, 'per weapon' basis.

Quick review of v1.0.

Gameplay is still challenging. Nice fixes and THANK YOU for the, 'noscoped' command, Clorf. Played the game with and without it and it's yet another element that adds replayability to Deus Ex.

Got a few suggestions for Augs/weapons but might put them in a separate message. Overall WELL DONE. Thanks for this version of the mod, Clorf. Shifter+BioMod makes Deus Ex as good as ANYTHING out there today, IMO.

Just to add in here I discovered that one can get almost all the skill points through regular gameplay including EMP bot kills.

Just add 36000 skill points through the SkillPointsAvail cheat at the start of the game.

Again NO ONE says people HAVE to do that but that's a way if people still want all the tasty skill points.

Otherwise using this version of the mod one can get an 'adequate' amount of skill points through normal gameplay (and EMP bot kills) by the end of the game.

Hey Clorf:

Could you please post the command to turn on/off crosshairs for scoped pistols in BioMod 1.0? It'd be appreciated.

Thanks for all your hard work,

FlatFoot

Hey Clorf thanks for remembering to put the console command in for switching crosshairs on and off on scoped pistols. Can you please tell us what that is--meaning what to type in the console to do that?

Can't wait to play the new mod.

I'll point out here that *having* skill points doesn't mean one has to *use* them.

I'd sure like to find v1.12.9 but after a search it seems to have disappeared.

THANK YOU for fixing the Synthetic Heart issue!

Is there a way that players can reverse the lack of reticles on scoped weapons, though? I just find the ability to scope up my crossbow & pistols too useful in saving inventory space.

Yo Clorf. Thanks for fixing the damage thing!

Artificial Heart aug shuts off ALL passive augs, takes time to turn 'em back on. Suggest HeartLung aug be made passive.

I'd prefer the HeartLung aug to go back to ramping up other augs.

Saying that I wouldn't think of playing Deus Ex now without this mod installed.

Augmentation System Good.

Suggest Warning in Readme as ADS augmentation WILL set off active explosives (LAMs, etc. on walls).

Need More for nonlethal takedowns like The Minty Mod's Stun Darts. Also suggest SLIGHT damage-to-unconciousness increase on Tranq Darts.

MAY be that NPCs hit w/Tranq Darts don't register as takedowns unless they're in visual range. This should be fixed.

Magnum Pistol needs more damage.

Jackhammer nearly useless. Suggest return to original Shifter stats on this.

Overall...Extremely good companion mod for Shifter.
WELL DONE!

Mailed a detailed review to Yuki but can't post that here except to say...

FANTASTIC MOD!

As a long-time Deus Ex player (and Minty Mod player) I liked almost everything about Shifter.

I want to publicly THANK Yuki for this. There are enough games that encourage sociopathy. Deus Ex mitigates that a bit and Shifter IMPROVES on that.

WELL DONE!
