Update:

I ran troubleshoot compatability for Soulstorm. I got the same error as usual. I tested the game on Windows 8 settings... Got the same error. Windows 7, still says I need Windows 2000 or better. Does anyone have any ideas how to fix this?

I fell for Microsoft's trap... A free download for windows 10.
Now Every time I try to load up Soulstorm, I am told that the game is not compatible with this version of windows. I even deleted the whole game and reinstalled it (from disk) and it still doesn't work. does anyone know of any way to make it compatible, or am I just screwed? This mod was one of my favorites and it makes me sad to know I can't play it anymore.

This mod looks awesome! I'd love to download it, but I have only one question.

I got brought here by a YouTuber doing a mod spotlight. He said the mod was for Medieval 2 Total War, here on the website though it says that you need Medieval 2 Total War: Kingdoms.

Is The Kingdoms DLC really necessary, or is it just the most common? I've had my copy forever, and never bothered to buy the DLC. It doesn't make me feel any better that pretty much all the negative reviews on steam are complaining about an update that made the Kingdoms unplayable.

Is it worth the $10 to buy Kingdoms for this mod, and if so, do I even have a guarantee it will work?

Every time I try to run it, I'm told that the game is not recognized as a Company of heroes product. It won't load.

I successfully downloaded the application (I think), but every time I try to launch it it says it is not a CoH game, and that I should try launching it from Steam. The mod doesn't show up in my Steam library though, and while it is in my steamapps folder, none of the folders downloaded include an application that I can run. Just readme files that don't give a solution.

Did I download to the wrong folder, or is there more at work here?

Maybe someone on here will know how to help... It took me a while, but I finally downloaded the mod. It looks great, but there's one problem. None of the AIs do anything. I can play against a hard AI and they will just sit with their troops in their base. This has happened before with other mods for EaW, and I don't know what is causing it. Has anyone else on here had similar experiences?
