Great to see this mod still going on! The level of detail you guys put into everything is truly amazing. Keep being awesome :)

Is there any potential for new game modes? Personally I would really like to see a version where supply points have infinite (or effectively infinite) resources in them but you can't build admin buildings. I realise this would encourage turtling, but I feel it would be worth it to get very long, very large games, making the most of there not being a pop-cap. Plus it would make disrupting supply lines with bombers a viable strategy for the whole game, rather than just until admin spam makes it irrelevant. Cheers :)
PS, Keep up the good work! So happy to see Ruse finally getting some love after all these years.
Oh good, I was getting bored of my last desktop background.
Strange how I, as a British person, instinctively read this in an American accent :P Means good writing.
Can't wait for (finishing my degree so I have time to play) the next update!
Ah, Osprey. They are great. Cheers :) Keep up the good work!
These are great! Where do you find all this primary source material? I ask as a history student :P
I've been looking for a new desktop :P
How about the whole body just dropping to the floor? The most stable position!
Love the turret though :)
That is a sexy skybox up there above the red mist.
I did indeed mean something bigger. For the avoidance of confusion, I don't propose any change to the stats or anything. It just seems impractical to send in a unit intended for sacrifice that is made up mostly of important expensive bits :P But I do see the tanks and, I guess, how much nano-fluid does one robot need? It's a lovely model in any case.
Thought: seeing as the theory behind this, I believe, is that it sacrifices it's own mass and energy to rebuild dead units, possibly it should have some big tank of matter to sacrifice on the back somewhere? Or filled with nano-bot fluid or something :P I imagine looking like a bacta tank or some such.
This looks amazing. I for one am psyched about personalised tech trees. Long overdue in my opinion. Great stuff!
I feel your pain. I've been putting off actually buying Soulstorm pretty much since it came out, dreading the day when this mod would eventually move away from DC :P
Glorious. I'm assuming this will be the model's idle position? If so, then my previous query about the overly straight legs is fully solved :)
Any chance of a new HD wallpaper image of this badboy once it's finally done? :D
After comparing this to the wallpaper of the old one, I think I'm gonna side with this new one :) Although, that being said, I can't say I'm a fan of the straight legs. I think it's more personal taste, but I definitely prefer the sort of dinosaur-esque crooked legs, as seen on such things as the old ACU design and the Warhound Titan from Warhammer.
Don't worry buddy, the next version will have 4 different scale options so you can play how you like, from small unit skirmishes to ridiculously epic clashes.
In other news, I am ridiculously excited for this mod :D
Laser razor balls, raising hell and razing bases.
If the tower is to be armed, perhaps the top would be better with an empty base which you would then upgrade to fit a Sabre Defence Platform on it?
Which is one of these if anyone's wondering;
Forgeworld.co.uk
I agree, wouldn't make a huge amount of sense for a hovercraft that has to be aerodynamic to be super-blocky. Good design :)
Don't panic amigo, it's alive and well :) Check their twcenter forum for more frequent updates and the dl for the last version.
Brilliant work, can't wait to play this :) Great to see a good mod not die in the water for a change!
I am seriously considering buying Unreal Tournament when this mod is released. Keep on pumping out awesome :)
Griffon Mortar! That is so hilariously old-skool... reminds me of when I first started playing 3rd edition, back when these were still around.
I approve :P
The Timurids aren't there 'cos they didn't invade Europe (by which I mean Russia) until 1382, a good 202 years after this starts. They first turn up on the map in the original game in 1370. So yeah, not yet :P
The Principality of Antioch is presumably not there because it wasn't really very important - much the same reason that the Counties of Tripoli and Edessa (the two other Crusader states apart from Antioch and Jerusalem) are not represented as factions. The Kingdom of Jerusalem was the only one that was of any significant size and the only one to engage in any active wars of expansion or indeed anything else very much.
Because once he hits you you'll be reduced to nothing more than pixels?
Nice, these are really good. But what exactly is a Shmel soldier?
Sounds pretty cool guys, good luck making it work.
Just saw your Concept Artist Request, I'd be happy to take that on for you.
btw sorry for double posting. =3
