you are using a shortcut? what is the target path? perhaps the path is being truncated. although you have the ini files, the shortcut doesn't seem to be invoking them. when you did a reinstall of deus ex, i hope you launched it at least once before installing DXN.

Would you guys be interested in developing your mod for DXR ( Moddb.com ) as well as DX? You could start right away, assuming you have UT2004, and could have much more artistic freedom when it comes to designing models, maps, and textures. You won't be limited to Unreal Engine 1 technology, and you'll be one of the first mods to use DXR as the base.
