Self-talk and your personal belief system: Dailynews.lk
Toltecs knew the whole self-talk as Inner Dialogue.
Inner Dialogue is simply yourself thinking ("talking") to yourself. We constantly judge who's and what's around us, plan what to do, etc. It all involves thinking.
Toltecs aimed to stop the inner dialogue / self-talk, to stop thinking. Why? The answer is very simple.
Their aim was to concentrate on the reality and all of the reality.
Normally we spend much energy into thoughts and various mental processes, sometimes completely forgetting about surroundings.
We "look" at the reality rather than observe, and observe with too much thinking rather than observe without thinking, without judging.
If you avoid judging yourself and everybody, you can get to the point when you know somebody for what they are instead of thinking what they are to you or how they appear to you.
Hell yah! I also sometimes talk to myself!
Well the picture should rather say "Self-Think" because that form of "self-talk" was meant.
Hmm, I self think alot, then I get into arguments with myself and lose.
Hahahah. Hardest to win with yourself, isn't it?
I know, that guy knows everything I'm gonna say! I think he might be a stalker.
