As stated by others, it is a technical marvel. Scenes are well done, plenty to explore. You can take different paths to achieve the next goal. New toys are fun; couple of types of sniper rifles, a silenced hand gun, alien gun.

Gameplay though is simply too tough. I don't mind dying; played Matteo 4 on realistic. The difference is I could see the enemy verse this mod that I couldn't. Too often you have no idea where they are and then BANG your dead and then you have to respawn from a very long save point to do it all over again. Rock throwing was ineffective and so was prone. Yes, if you can get up a cliff and snipe, that was effective on the ones you could see, yet there was always one or two lurking would get you.

Overall 8/10.

Man, this is an awesome mod.

Played at the reality setting. :-O
Needed more save points. Died like 200X especially the last level. LOL

Patches worked great, humor was good, especially liked the stunt jump short video.

Well planning to give this mod a 10 until.....

Got to the level were you lose all the weapons and it fell down hill rapidly from there.

- many glitches.
- played on hardest mode and impossible to get any further when you receive a weapon again. Ran out of ammo. Very, very frustrating. Had to use cheats( which I positively HATE)
- Once you lose HEV and HUD can not change weapons.
- Some very bizarre scenes after losing weapong. Seemed developer was either simply trying to finish without much planning or......

On the plus side:
- music is fantastic
- Toughest mod ever!
- Nicely done graphics.
- Very long
- free.
- interesting twists- Alex's Dad. Nuff said.

Haven't finished yet, but at the point were you hear Breen and Gman. Soon, very soon.

I would rate it a 7-8 due to the frustration near the end. Before that a definite 9-10.
