Well its a new year, and Dead shift hasnt come foward, and I dont want to say its dead.. I'd like it not to be, after all there is over 500 mb of maps made for the mod. maybe if i got a new team togeather, It could Rise again, However, looks like its Remaining on hold for a While longer, untill my search is over, mean while, I'll continue on my One man Project for l4d2, (currently no name, yet), well that was a rather point less blog, eh, well, Ive said whatever I felt like saying, ta ta.

I have one word of concern, please do not switch to the source engine.
Many mods that attempted this in the past, nightwatch being a good example, died in the transition. I hope you're not going down the same path ... The engine switch can be a tedious process and will probably bring a lot more work with it then you can imagine.(codebase, npc's, ai, revamping models and maps) Just finnish up what you have :)

look, the reason things look the same, is(people have to realise this)
Things will look like other things, like for example, were using the same textures, were basing it on hl1, so it will look like hl1. also the designs are based on hl1(try to make it look the same) witch is why alot of people tend to say, you have decompiled that, or, you copied that from that. and when is it not possible the remake those simple objects? really if a block with a certain texture on it, is in hl1, then a block with the same texture on it appears else were, for a mod of the same game, peoples will say its stolen. even though its only been remade and Based on hl1, Of course if were basing it on HL1 environment, we want it to look like a HL1 environment.
