Formerly known as Delta289 for the almost 5 years I've been on this site. I'm a giant fan of Lord Of the Rings and Warhammer 40,000. I used to be really big into star wars but due to recent events my interest in Star Wars is pretty much spent. My patience just ran thin with the decreasing quality of stories coming out of that company and I no longer wish to be associated with any of it.

10,000 units its says in the films, but it never specifies how large a unit is, it could be one man, a squad, a platoon or a even a battallion

yes they pretty much relied on the clone armies of the rep or the droid armies of the cis to do most of the fighting. for the first few months of the war however, the rep relied heavily on local militias because the GAR (grand army of the republic) was only 10,000 strong at the time.

as for the Rendili conflict, its difficult to explain, but the event is depicted in a comic that i will probably upload here sometime this weekend.

before the year 22BBY with the Military Creation Act, each planet had their own private militaries.

in fact during the clone wars, a battle on the planet Rendili ensued because the Rendili government refused to demolish their famous navy. when Rendili was thinking about joining the separatists, the republic sent a fleet led by plo koon, saesee tiin, and jan dodonna, to put down the insurrection. after a separatist fleet entered the system, a battle ensued, afterward Rendili handed over their navy and their dreadnoughts were confiscated

no the senators are not the leaders of their planets, they're just there to represent them.

being an american, i don't know how the EU operates, and George Lucas being an american probably doesn't either, its more based on how the united state's government works

and yes the song is in Mano'a the language of the Mandalorians which is reminiscent of some of the Slavic languages in the real world
