It's not a bad game, Not brilliant and I still haven't figured out the upgrading system but it reminds me a lot of Far cry 3. It's like they nicked a lot of the gameplay elements. It makes a decent enough diversion for a day or two off from Stalker.
It feels like that's the new trend; Dead Space 3, Tomb Raider, Far Cry 3, Assassin's Creed. I honestly don't know if I like this trend that much. This gathering and upgrading thing gets really old really fast for me, but what can you do.
For me I dislike the third person part more. That's what's putting me off. I haven't got that far as I've found it a bit repetitive and a bit boring.
Having said that I've only played 3 or 4 hours so maybe that's a bit unfair.
Well I like the new Lara Croft
