It wasn't so serene reaching the top of this building earlier on, yeah I see what you mean about your comment though, it does look suspiciously quiet.

Serenity is dangerous. Always think about that.

But nice image, very much detail at a high quality level. :D

The strange thing is there was no rain during my "visit" to Yantar ...but it had this odd light, hard to put into words really.

Good screen, but yantar is meant to be a lot creepier than that IMO. There aren't many areas with the vanilla levels you can go mad with the creepy atmosphere but yantar and radar are two of them :)

It's a tricky one this, and I suppose it's down to preference or balance, during the game there is no direct sunlight just this light.
So it has lost that foggy/creepy atmosphere agreed but replaced with a....well I'm not sure, an odd light, not a very satisfactory description but the only one that fits :/

I'd generally have no problem with a varying atmosphere in Yantar but the one thing that always trips me up is how bloody small the map is. It should of been 2-3x bigger than what ended up being in the retail game, thats why I like seeing yantar pimped out to be really creepy as it helps hide the fact of how small the map is. I wonder if anybody has ever thought about increasing the map size and adding a creepy forest around yantar to explore.. hmm...

That's a good point...hide the map size with atmosphere and FX, it was only a tiny size increase in Clear Sky but the seed's for expansion are there, yeah...see where you're heading with this, possible opening up of the unused factory buildings that are inaccessible in current game.
