I know I mean this screen killed me in the game :D
Pressed a save then got up close and personal, when I returned to the game I got up on the road and took em down one at a time with a Val, controller as well, that then completed a mission :), which I hadn't relised I was doing :/
Creepy stuff, yea. But if you hold a Val, 'they' aren't so creepy at all. 9x39 pierces through everything, and if you can calculate the ballistics, you can even use it as sniper rifle :D
Yeah it was a bit creepy, thank goodness for a decent rifle, will put up a couple more screens from this level, have added some better R1, R2 etc dll's into the bin folder that are compatible with v1.0004 to try and stretch out the eye candy if possible, will continue experimenting until the inevitable CTD :)
The last words sound a bit pessimistic, but also realistic.
Too bad that circa 60 percent of all mods aren't stable on my PC. OK, the most 'proper' mods like Misery, AA, TK, Faction Fronts aka Clear Skies, Complete Series, Reloaded Series (just to name a few good ones) are running pretty stable. But if we get too far to the eastern section of Europe, the mods get more unstable :S
But these russian Mods bring also good innovations though :D
They (sorry, the Russians) create some really ambitious mods, new levels etc, they just cry out to be tried, what Stalker wouldn't want to see new levels and other innovations in the game. This might explain all the hold ups with Lost Alpha, but yes, along with the innovations come all the bugs and glitches, it requires a lot of patience sometimes this game :)
Yes, the more features, the more bugs, sometimes one feature which just was developed interferes with one you made weeks ago...and you always have to find a way around this. Very annoying, but necessary. Only the big mods (like these I mentioned above) show off the developer's patience with X-Ray! If this patience wouldn't be required, everyone could do mods, and we would eventually lose the overview :D
Thats true, there does seem to a continental split with mods, the western ones seem to add more subtle features, like Misery and the others, the eastern ones seem to want to add more levels etc, like this does, the obvious answer would be to work together on such projects but that is probably wishful thinking and I suppose leads to further developmental problems as well.
Yeah, there are so many barriers to overcome with this sort of thing, this would make a good 100 Rads Bar conversation, you never know, we may even plant seeds with the visitors etc.
That doesn't looks that good now :/ I mean, the situation :D

Patience is a virtue :D

Well, the only mod where all this gets together is Lost Alpha.
And yes, there is not only the 'continental split', but also a language barrier :/
