Have you tried out the AA shaders? They look cool in addition to rain :)

But these look also damn fine. Keep on, it is a very cool contrast to my Misery-styled zone :D

There are parts of AA shaders in this, included with LoNer1's and Meltacs, it has taken a couple of days to get to this point with just the shaders alone. To be honest I have lost track on this as to who's are where and what :/ I think some of Vincent's shaders are in the mix as well... unfortunately I can't get the best out of them all due to a CTD telling me GPU can't handle the pixel's etc. But that won't be a problem next month with the new GPU :D
Yeah you do the Misery concept so well, but I don't want it to be too bright, green and summer looking.

FYI using fake AA isn't needed anymore ;) you can force AA via your graphics card CP.

I tried forcing FXAA on the CP as well, as Vincent's SWTC supports this, not sure this current GPU can handle all of them though.

I think the FXAA blurs the STALKER engine to much.

SMAA works very well with STALKER at all. Every mod or shaders are compatible with it.
The main point is that it doesn't eat resources, you have minimal performance loss and it looks clear. No more blurring via fake AA.

If you have the WTCM 2.0 file use the Injector.

When you get an GPU can't handle the pixel's error it is misleading. It only means that you don´t have merged the shaders carefully or you have broken a shader file by wrong editing. Try to merge them again.
Main thing is that you consider which Shader config the mod uses. But for all mixed shaders the Shader Settings text file from Kingo and Meltac have primacy.
Sometimes an non-compatible Shader Settings text file causes this error. Because it´s only working for the SkyGRAPHICS_options.cfg from the pack.

The key is simply to hold both settings in your shaders folder. As mentioned, the Shader Settings text file from Kingo and Meltac have always the primacy but they will work together in one folder.

What a good answer, this clears a few things up, I won't have much time tonight to try any of these things but tomorrow I have all day free. I'm going to remove all current gamedata and rebuild from scratch, I will probably choose an AMK based mod and build up from there, see where this may lead.
Thanks again for informative post
Cheers man :)

For AA I don't have any issues at all forcing it on in the CP. Even 2x AA cleared up basically all jaggies in SoC, I was left with some sort of weird line going down one side of the edge of my screen though with forced AA. It ended up annoying me so I turned AA off again :p
