You're right, I have been adjusting the user ltx, I kept a back-up (of yours) and started learning how changing values affect how things look, again learning a little every day.
X-Ray will certainly have you learning something new each day. Even after some 6 years I'm still learning new things and little tricks, X-Ray is the engine that just keeps giving! Granted, what X-Ray usually gives is a headache but after that a breakthrough usually follows :p
Well you're right about the headache, so far the breakthroughs have only been small for me, but yes I see what you mean, its the thought of 6 years of headaches:)
It's a good point, I suspect my problem is the other way round, spending too much time and effort on the little things and not attempting to move onto the bigger things (spawns, LE, etc). That will be the breakthrough for me, it's all about learning those skills.
Yea, I'd rather play a well-balanced mod without major visual bugs than a oversized buggy mod like STALKERSOUP.
First the little things like bugfixes, economy and graphic, then bigger things like adding new quests or building a new storyline.
Ohhhh....Stalkersoup....man, so much promise on so many levels and the work that must go into making it, but the CTD's, and that "cave sequence", one day I hope it will be the perfect mod, because I'm sure it has that potential, I really want that mod to be working and perfect, one day..one day :)
I've spent 6 years doing nothing but focusing on the little things, look how TK has turned out so far ;) Its nice to focus on the bigger things, but ultimately theres a lot of people doing just that which is why I decided to focus on a mod doing nothing but enhancing what was already there in order to deliver a very polished mod which would also slot into mods using new maps etc with relative ease.
Shaders used come from Dynamic Shaders 1.1 (Meltac), OGSE 0.6.9.3. (OGSE) and SWTC 2.0 Gold (VincentVega). Textures are from PPx, PRZ2 (LoNer1), SWTC 2.0 Gold (VincentVega) and TK Build 3-10-12 (Ketxxx).
That looks quite nice, looks like you are using a little more bloom than TK does.

Little things make a big difference ;) Far too many modders focus on "big" things and ignore all the little things that are wrong.

We all know that you give your best to make SoC enjoyable again :D
That's so right!
