Thanks, changed FOV to 90, this isn't one of the sky_cube's that ships with SWO 3.1 or the user ltx, to be honest I'm using the SWO mod to give me a dynamic weather system over which I can hopefully try and create a different type of atmosphere, changed some flares on this and the sun brightness via the stalker ltx etc.
It's a slow progress for sure, to be honest I only started out with an idea of making a few changes to the game's skies etc to give myself a game which was "atmospheric"...a vague concept at best, of course things are rarely that simple (if only).
The feedback, help and advice that has been offered completely altered everything, learning new tricks meant making ever increasing changes and possibilities, though the ideal "atmospheric" remains the goal.
The other thing I have found is how long it takes to check every change, switching between running the game and then making more changes which are just gradual and then checking/seeing the result.
Thanks ket....oops long rambling answer alert :)
haha don't worry I always ramble thats why I try to answer everything with bullet points to keep myself on track :p Sounds like you are just starting to discover the mass of possibilities X-Ray still has :) The engine may be old, but in the right hands it can still look better than most modern engines.
Thanks again to: LoNer1, Ket, Meltac, Vincent Vega and DMX (boutch71 & Saruman) for textures and shaders (and inspiration)
Vanilla SoC with Stalker Weather Overhaul 3.1
Trying with different weather_default and sky cubes/flares, r2 settings etc.
Great atmosphere again, but a bit weird perspective :D

Your on to something very interesting here, I can see it evolving little by little in each set of newer screens :)
