For those who missed the live broadcast:
No plans for a mac release right now, we're more focused on getting all the classes and features implemented.
Posted Friday, we have no control over when it gets authed or archived
There seems to be an issue with the HLDS Update Tool downloading the PVKII server files into the base directory instead of Orange Box.
I've contacted Valve and will update everyone when I find out a resolution.
We had plans to release by the end of the year, so we made sure to get through the nomination round. As you can see, we've put no effort into being voted for once we missed our planned release, so there's no reason to be upset with us.
2.3 is still on the way and will be released when the time comes. The mod is nowhere near dead and the future is looking very bright for us once we release on steam.
You'll also see it took a crossbow shot, two longbow shots and a sword hit to take the other player down.
Ranged weapons deal significantly less damage up close now, in most cases the Archer will have to resort to his sword.
There are currently in-game
"Ungrateful" - Kill a Dev/Tester
"Biting the Hand That Feeds" - Kill 10 Dev/Testers
If anyone has an idea for an icon to represent "Ungrateful" that's the only one we're missing.
do we get the cool music while working in the editor :)
We're expecting to make the expressions and the lip syncing more exaggerated, just wanted to get a preview out there of what we're working on.
We never stole any code, this is a ridiculous claim and I don't know where he got it from.
It's just a sponsor, you guys are overreacting.
Take some Valium and relax a little.
Anyway, looking forward to the winners being announced!
No booty, there will be two categories to enter as, Objective Push or Territory. Winners will be selected from each category.
Client is for playing, server is for hosting a dedicated server.
Pvkii.com contains a full changelog.
TF2 Engine adds a bunch of new features I think they have documentation on it somewhere.
No new classes for 2.2, but 1 new one in 2.3 (Viking Gestir)
I've been looking forward to this day for a while now!
This is definitely a huge step forward for modding.
Hoping to convert to the TF2 engine in version 2.3, which should also include the Gestir (Spear Viking) Class
that's funny, cause I've personally made a few of them
You thought wrong, nowhere did we say anything about new classes in 2.1
Trying to work around my work schedule = you guys got an early peek ;)
Hey everyone, check out the updated readme, the previous one was missing all the map changes!
Looking good, nice cinematics in the trailer. One thing I'm hoping to see in 1.1 is better movement speed. It's extremely hard to enjoy myself when moving like a snail!
I think the handling feels off due to the response time. Seems like a fun mod, but it's hard to get passed this annoyance.
Looking forward to getting the hang of it and enjoying this otherwise well polished release.
The text at the beginning of our trailer wasn't meant to be taken too serious! But the dramatic music needed to appear epic!
Perhaps 2.0 will change your minds
We didn't steal anything from the AoC team. In fact, I'm pretty sure AoC's melee system isn't anything like PVKII.
I'm down homes
Yes it runs with HL2:Deathmatch but you also need Source SDK Base which you can download for free from steam.
moddb is playing god with our hearts.
