PVKII will always be free and will remain on the Source engine (unless Source 2 proves extremely easy to port to).
If we decide to develop for another engine, we will start with a fresh game :)

There seems to be an issue with the HLDS Update Tool downloading the PVKII server files into the base directory instead of Orange Box.
I've contacted Valve and will update everyone when I find out a resolution.
We had plans to release by the end of the year, so we made sure to get through the nomination round. As you can see, we've put no effort into being voted for once we missed our planned release, so there's no reason to be upset with us.
2.3 is still on the way and will be released when the time comes. The mod is nowhere near dead and the future is looking very bright for us once we release on steam.
You'll also see it took a crossbow shot, two longbow shots and a sword hit to take the other player down.
Ranged weapons deal significantly less damage up close now, in most cases the Archer will have to resort to his sword.

Looking good, nice cinematics in the trailer. One thing I'm hoping to see in 1.1 is better movement speed. It's extremely hard to enjoy myself when moving like a snail!
I think the handling feels off due to the response time. Seems like a fun mod, but it's hard to get passed this annoyance.
Looking forward to getting the hang of it and enjoying this otherwise well polished release.
