Yes, the .lua files to load assets are not in the PC version. I am looking into the consoles files to get these into the PC game.

I will also look into Substance Designer/DMM destruction to see if it is possible to implement some PBR into the models and environment, it is doubtful but with the new DX9 converter running and with the DX11 converter from dege getting some work done it may be possible. With DMM I am hoping to create more destructible objects and bending of metal.

Yeah same with TAbula Rasa. Projects to ressurect the dead MMOS. But the point being if you read Raj's post he talks about coverting the game lighting calls into ones that modern GPU interpret much better. The result is better looking environment and less glitches visually. I figured since you seem to code you two could find something to talk about/make/integrate into current DX9 injectors

I would also message the guy who posted this for info on translating older directx calls to the dx9 vertex pipeline Mxoemu.info I think he did this through some exe hacks but I could be wrong. Let me know what you find out. Would be awesome to get this functionality to other wrappers as well.

Hmm, so it seems to work fine on my desktop with the r9 390 and not with my laptop which has a GT 740M and intel GPU. Do you get lag spikes when the game first loads?

Do you have instructions on how to get it running with DS, I have had no luck with mine. Keep getting crashes. WOuld like to test it out at least to see if I can get depth maps to appear.

My plan is to get models from THIEF(reboot) into the game somehow so that that way the bump mapping from the original character will be enabled.

I would largely agree. However I do like the fluidity of the reboot quite a bit, though. I would have actually preferred that they used the old voice actor and had the story fall more in line with the prior games. But it is what it is. It was also disappointing to sse the game run on UE3 when 4 was already out and available to devs at the time of the game's design. My biggest gripe with the game is the lack of variety in the city landscape and general lazy design of the architecture of the entire city

Models will be converted from Thief 2014 at a later time. I would need to re-rig all of them. HDR and AO can already be achieved with Nvidia inspector and RadeonPRo tools. Current objective is to get pom up and running. DX9 wrapper is already working.

indeed got the game wrapped to DX9 so now I just need to implement the shader with SweetFX and hope for the best. Should look good with Ambient Occlusion from Nvidia Inspector and RadeonPRO

Sadly I am a one man team so progress is really slow. And even though its the internet and no one cares, I got injured in a motorcycle accident, suing my dealership over selling me a lemon and my grandma passed away so I have been dealing with a lot this year and this is contributing to the slowness. As for eye adaptation Unreal 2.X had it so it is possible just have to figure out how to do it. But getting the renderer up to par would be nice first. Unreal 2.X was DirectX 8.1 I think so having DX 9 would be a huge help.

I am not planning on doing the anims, but perhaps with helps that can be done too. Might be possible to port the bow into this game, but the animations are something that I cannot do. Since the new game runs on UE 3 and this one is on UE2 the animatons are not compatible

As mentioned above still working out the lighting for this game it will have to be external for now but in time I am hoping to bring this to at the very least DX9.0C but ideally dx11 or 12
