Sadly I am a one man team so progress is really slow. And even though its the internet and no one cares, I got injured in a motorcycle accident, suing my dealership over selling me a lemon and my grandma passed away so I have been dealing with a lot this year and this is contributing to the slowness. As for eye adaptation Unreal 2.X had it so it is possible just have to figure out how to do it. But getting the renderer up to par would be nice first. Unreal 2.X was DirectX 8.1 I think so having DX 9 would be a huge help.

I am not planning on doing the anims, but perhaps with helps that can be done too. Might be possible to port the bow into this game, but the animations are something that I cannot do. Since the new game runs on UE 3 and this one is on UE2 the animatons are not compatible

As mentioned above still working out the lighting for this game it will have to be external for now but in time I am hoping to bring this to at the very least DX9.0C but ideally dx11 or 12

and also if you access the console and type in help
then you can see more commands to mess with lens flares and the like, if you want a permanent solution edit the environment.cfg file and edit those values or get the Syndicate advanced cfg tool

you need to extract the files using the GRAW bundle reader, which I should have included in the mod file folder, I should aslo have instruction on that

I have to agree. As much as I dig GoW's drab and bleak post apocalyptic look this needs to be better lit, not necessarily brightness wise, it just needs more separate lights of different kinds :) Looks great otherwise

unfortunately the campaign levels are locked from modification, because the level are cooked. However, it is possible to use all these models and weapons in any custom map/mod which is not cooked, as it stands I am still trying to iron out bugs with custom weapons. I have the weapon switching down now and the shells ejection/muzzleflash are working too but the original lancer model shows up underneath the custom gun, once that is cleared up I will have a tutorial up here on how to get them into your own map or someone else's
