That is an awesome re-skin, I especially like the added bullet shield to the technical gun.

sorry to pester but are we going to see an update with the rest of the promised content that wasn't in the 1.5 version? I am really looking forward to the full version of this mod.
this is looking really good Dementium, I can't wait for the release.
glad to see the Burst on the AN-94 turned out well.
I was just speculating. they need someone to design levels for something. my vote is for Jones.
DICE has an opening for a Level Designer at their new Los Angeles Branch. probably for the new Star Wars Battlefront Game but still there is no greater map designer in the community than you Jones. Your record stands for itself, You should check it out.

Are we going to get that beautiful Steam engine?

Your right Gordon and Swed, you don't deserve this crap and I should have thought it through before posting. I appologize. The reason why many in the community are frustrated with the multiple mod postings is that over the years we have seen plenty of amazing mods that die becaues their authors got way too ambitious. our critizism sparks not from a desire to discredit you, quite the contrary, we have been adament that you focus on one mod at a time because we want to see your work reach a final stage with a release. Dementium spent 6 months working in the alpha stage planing and developing content before he started his Arctic Warfare mod page. Again I was an ***, and I screwed up. I personally won't mention it again, but please know we are frustrated at heart because we want you to succeed, not because we hate your what you are doing. its easy to be a crtic and much harder to be a creator.
all of his "work" for all of his 5 mods are just reskinned content that someone else has made. he keeps talking about doing these mods but he hasn't even thought about finnishing the first one. its really annoying that the Battlefield 2 news feed is clogged up with these "mods"
Can't wait to play it, you rock Dementium!
Thanks for the news update, glad to hear that Multiplayer is operational. I'm looking foward to this coming release and playing this mod.
I don't know off the top of my head but that gun looks familiar. I'd have to go through the mod files to be sure and since my gaming computer is in deep storage at the moment, that isn't a possibility. I suggest you download it and find out. Like I said, its a mod well worth playing, I really enjoyed it.
It had a release with all custom maps, pretty good actually. It might not be as indepth as say PR or AIX, but it is a finished product. I enjoyed it, its worth downloading.
Is this one of the maps you cut, or is it still in production?
Glad to be of service, I'm looking foward to this release and all that will follow. Keep up the good work. Modeling, animations, and navmesh confuse me. the best I ever achieved was making a box in Gmax for MoHPA and that was a pretty ugly deformed failure, I have the greatest respect for anyone who can do it.
I think I found one of them, Sjulimann. Steamcommunity.com
Another good vehicle Idea for the Canadians, En.wikipedia.org It looks like the Northern Conflict mod, Moddb.com long dead, had a completed model. Don't know how to track them down, but if you could I don't see why they wouldn't let you have it, if it still exists on someone's hard drive.
Or if you don't want to use the M113, you could always make the MMEV version (same page) which sounds basically like the same thing but using the LAV-III chasis. again we can turn a blind eye to the fact that it never made it past blueprints :D
Hey Dementium4ever, I was looking through a list of Canadian Army assets and I came across an Anti-Air tank that looks frankeinstienly familiar, any chance you could jerri-rig it. You could use USI's M113 chasis (with permission of course) and the turret from the Vanilla Type 95 AA, then just replace the guns with those massive missile launchers. En.wikipedia.org
As a coder/mapper, and not a very good one, who doesn't know how to model I just realized that it isn't as simple as I made it sound, but still. I'd love to see this mod populated with as many non-vanilla models as possible. It would complete the origionality of your Idea, and we can turn a blind eye to the fact that Canada just scrapped all of these beauties.
Dementium4ever you are amazing, I could just kiss you right now. This is the first significantly new content that has come to battlefield 2 in years. can we get a video of this baby in action please?
Just Curious, what were the three cancled maps?
Please tell me you are going to add Special Forces Night Vision support to this map. there are way too many community night maps that players can't use Night Vision in and seeing as this is Spec Ops mod, it would be a shame if you didn't include it.
can we get an update, and a release on whats done please. I really want to play OPK2 in singleplayer
yeah sorry about that, double checked like you said and that was my bad. Since I loaded it in my custom mod I didn't account for my own changes, it was bad scripting in another weapon-AI combination of my own concoction in the same kit I had your guns in that was causing the crashes, sorry again to accuse you like that.
anyways, it would still be awesome if I could get my hands on that AEK-971. I found another model but its not to my liking. I would love to check out the one you made. if its as good as your other work, it will fit in nicely
Hey Dementium4ever, I don't know if you have already addressed this but is there going to be a snowmobile in this mod? it would be awesome if you guys made one like the one in BF2 Modern Combat
Here's its stats from Battlefield wikia:
Snowmobile
Vehicle armor Low
Main weapon 2x UZI
Main weapon fire mode fully automatic
Main weapon ammuntion per reload 600 rounds
Crew of Two: driver and one passanger
2nd passenger weapon Passenger's kit weapons
Vehicle speed Very fast
Vehicle maneuverability Medium-low
Camouflages available Arctic
I only cited source to make sure that no one could claim I was stealing their work for credit :P
well the SingleFireComp is essentially default code that is required for a weapon to work ingame, I just copy pasted it straight from my modded CQB serverobjects.zip to give you a referance as to where you need to insert the modified code line, so you're good there.
As far as the 'ObjectTemplate.fire.burstSize'
like I said I got that from BrotherJustice, I would check with him just in case but since its such a simple line of code I couldn't see why not.
Code is taken from Close Quarters Battle Mod's AN-94 and modified by me using BrotherJustice's sample over at Battlefieldsingplayer.
Make sure to make it a 2 round burst, instead of the BF default 3 round burst.
In case you need it here's the code:
rem ---BeginComp:SingleFireComp ---
ObjectTemplate.createComponent SingleFireComp
ObjectTemplate.fire.addFireRate 1
ObjectTemplate.fire.burstSize 2
ObjectTemplate.fire.fireInCameraDof 1
rem ---EndComp ---
Hey EnemySniper,
amazing animations. I absolutly love them. no one else is making most of these weapons available to the community and I applaud you for it. I especially love your MP412 Rex.
I have a few requests if you would indulge me.
The Rex, Bighorn, and M110 need 3p animations, I play with bots alot and the game crashes when they try to use these guns. if you could update them you would rock for all time.
also I need an AEK-971 Ironsight with GL to finish off my custom Spetznez assault class. if you have the time could you take a look at porting the P4F one. Please and thank you.
