What's that all about ? Are you aware, that ANY project regarding Battlegroup is in the hands of the official Battlegroup team ? We knew NOTHING about this, aserafimov didn't even tell us that he was planning to work on BGF again. We don't even know who worked on this, except aserafimov.
Since this release has neither been tested nor approved by us, the official Battlegroup dev team, we can give NO support of any kind should problems arise. Regard this release as unofficial and unapproved, the last official BGF release is still Beta 1.05.
Agree here... at least aserafimov should have contact us previously. I don´t understand why he doesn´t talk to us or joint our community. It would be a benefit for all.
I am a PART of the official BGF dev team , who started work on BGF after 1.05 release.
Please, check your old private forum, there was a section about BGFmod. I told You several times there, that I will continue with work on BGF, posted screens from my work and maps. I cannot remember to written, that I am stopping with the development.
Also I CONTACTED with the only active BGF member here Gnomey I written them that I am planing to release a new version, but no interest detected by Your side.
Why I have to contact and with WHO? There is not BGF dev team!!! There are BG42 dev team related with bf1942 game and BG3 dev team. When I am ready with the new stuff, the maps and etc, I will prepare a new release.
Just to update your info, there was an official release before few years on BGF v1.1, which was patch for BGF V1.0
Gnomey NEVER told us anything about that. We never knew that anybody is continueing the work on BGF, and since our website is now the one and only official Battlegroup devs' center everything related to BG42, BGF and BG3 goes through there. That's the reason why several other (former) BGF devs signed up there, watching the forum etc. The latest release that we know of is 1.05, after that we heard nothing from anybody, not even the slightest interest. Officially, the BGF project is finished, that's why the former devs moved on to other things or joined other mod teams. Right now, SargeSurfat and i are the ones responsible for everything that is BG related, yet you just continue working on BGF as if it were your own. That's not the way things work. You should at least have contacted either SargeSurfat or me directly, but that was not the case. And our new website has been around long enough after the database crash to be able to write something there.
Now don't get me wrong, i have no problem with you working on BGF, but you should at least have told us about it and asked the former BGF devs if it is okay for them too.

It's great to see a new release of BGF. I was playing this again recently and the quality of many aspects struck me. I hope the developers can resolve their current issues.
I was looking at the map with the long bridge crossing. It is basically unwinnable especially with the AI as everything bottlenecks along the bridge. However there is an alternate route across the river where there is a smaller bridge which is got to across a couple of islands. However for one reason or another the bridge was left unfinished/improperly placed and no tanks can pass here. I managed to align the bridge in the editor but that means editing the nav mesh as well which I don't know how to do yet. Would be nice to give the ruskies a leg up on this map !

After years of what seemed no progress, you guys come with a new version, nice job guys!!!!!! I am downloading it right now, good job!
the mod is great, but still needs some new stuff:
- more camera angles on the aircraft
- better animations
- decrease up and down maneuverability
- fix the ju87 stuka diving sound
- make the aircraft gun impact more massive
I thought u guys were done with the 1.05. But seeing this, great work!

BGF v1.5 contain one new map called Stalingrad, created by me.
The next release will contain at least three new maps.
Can you fix the crosshair of the SVT40? it is distorted and really blocks my field of view

I installed bgf v1.5 and when I launch the mod the screen goes black and crashes to desktop and im not sure what to do :(

The best WWII mod for BF2! Brutal and fun gameplay at the same time.
You still keep the explosion effects from BG42.
Except that now it's also used for vehicles.
