White Night

Mod review may contain spoilers

White Night has a story to rival Dark Descent itself. You start with nothing and gradually get pieces of the puzzle which start very confusing and only get more so as the game goes on, all the way to the end. Even as the credits roll you are not exactly certain of what transpired, leaving much to your imagination which enhances the experience.

The lack of monsters throughout most of the game actually helps, In my opinion. There are many areas which seem like they will have an encounter but actually don't, but the Player doesn't know that and the missing monsters induce paranoia.

While the detail is mediocre, the levels have great atmosphere. I highly recommend this custom story.

Overwatch

Mod review

A very well done mod, the gameplay is fun. The maps are still mostly dev-textured, but that doesn't really detract from the enjoyment of the game. I assume that someone will be given the task of art-passing the maps, be it a community or team member, now that Redmatter is moving on to OW's successor. Either way, some small bugs aside, a very solid game.

TITAN / ATROPHY: XCIX

Mod review may contain spoilers

This mod is beautifully well done. Environments were very immersive and unique, and the voice acting was great as well. It was slow at parts, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing.

However, it would have benefited from an autosave after the cutscene with the infected crewman-especially since it is one of the situations you're most likely to die in, and if you do you have to rewatch the entire thing again, unless you quicksaved. (This may have been my own stupidity, but I assumed there would be an autosave there and did not manually save.)

Otherwise, a great mod. One of the best I've played.
