I'm a level designer, working mostly with my Half-Life 2 mod, but I also work on other projects, such as Portal, TF2 and Overwatch mapping.
That's the fuel depot model seen in ME2 and 3. Assuming you mean the thing behind Arcturus.
Looks pretty good
It probably won't get any scarier than Ravenholm, really. If that floats your boat, cool, but don't expect anything like Amnesia.
Hopefully, yes. There's already that tank from the video, but that's just basic. There are others in the planning stage, but those are more advanced and thus dependent on me being able to get models. If I can learn how to make/somehow acquire appropriate models then yes, there will be new vehicles.
The pillars are a little blocky. I'm currently planning to upgrade them into more fashionable Ionic Columns.
It's not, but I've been really, really busy.
Sounds nice! The turret sounds are a little creepy.
Is this on Steam Greenlight? There's a $100 submission Fee, so you can decide if that's worth it but it would probably speed up the whole Getting-On-Steam process.
Looks very good.
Nice marketing strategy. Probably wouldn't have bothered if this were a mediocre-looking game but it certainly looks nice, plus as you said I am indeed a fan of FPS/RTS games. Looking great, voted for Steam Greenlight as well.
Interesting, looks cool.
Agreed, it looks quite realistic. It looks like a nice place, strange for a horror game. Can't wait to play it.
Yeah I know. I realized that the back wall displacement is horribly flat. Gonna be better :)
OH MY GOD DO WANT NOW.
Funny that you actually noticed that, I was watching a Crysis 2 LP at roughly the same time that I was mapping that section. Rubbed off it would seem.
I personally think it looks okay, but it can always change. Nothing is set in stone.
There's just this building and highway at the moment. After the background gets added it will look better.
Me screwing up the color correction. Older version of the map.
Great looking mod. Can't wait for release, the artstyle is really nice and the puzzles look hard.
Very unique artstyle, Liking these pictures.
Misaligned textures on the left, otherwise looks okay.
If this game gets on Steam, I'll definitely buy it as soon as I have the chance. It looks great.
Tip: To make a skybox, use the tools/toolsskybox texture then under map>Map Properties fill in the SkyBox Texture Name field with the name of the texture you want to use. Do not include anything like "rt" or "hdrup", only include the sky_day and the numbers that follow.
Looking good. My only complaints are that on the "Lab 2314-5" and the ASHPD one in the bottom right corner, the text is a little too close to the image. Other than that these look good.
I would personally reccomend splitting the wall into top/bottom halves and having each be a different texture, preferably two that look good with each other. Making it a single, increased scale texture would still be repetetive and low-res to boot.
Looking good, I'd reccommend using more texture variety on the walls.
Sorry, It's actually the second image. Uploaded in a different order than I expected.
Metal walls could use some more detailing, but otherwise good-looking.
From this angle, the transition from land to water is odd-too straight and level. The horizon is awkward also, perhaps some fog would ease the water-to-sky transition.
It's a Klein Bottle, isn't it?
I see. Must be a pretty large map then. Changing the skybox texture would help, but even a few models on the other side of the cliffs to give the impression that there's something there would help. But if it can't be done, it can't be done.
Indeed, the graphics on this are hardly 'modern' but can really look quite nice.
Looks good, but the place on the left where the displacement cliff meets the wall is a little ugly. The rest is okay, but would also benefit from a 3D skybox (or a larger one if there's already one in place.)
Looking great! The effect on the dust looks a little over-exaggerated (unless it's moving at high speed) but it still looks cool.
WIP, as you can see from the dev/measure textures

Oh ho! So this is what y'all have been working on. Sounds fun, and the UDK will be interesting for this style of game. Although, will development still happen for Overwatch? I assume so, since berely any maps are near completion. (save for user-made maps.)
Oh yes. Yes. Yes. I want this game so badly. Nice to see some new media.
In the description I said that the game doesn't start in the city. This is just a room in the outlands, and all the damage is recent, caused by a fight between combine soldiers and antlions.
Happy birthday! And nice image. Looks very neat.
Gorgeous. Absolutely gorgeous.
The rust cube looks ok, but the portalgun just looks bloody.
Wow, quite the media bomb. Looks good, professional quality.
wow! Very nice looking.
I know it's pretty dark- That's more or less intentional, but if testing indicates that it needs more light, there will be more light. (Actually, it probably needs it anyway. Just looking at the image as I type it's a little hard to see.
Yes, both sides view the other's presence here as a very large pontential threat. Interesting note- in this battle you face every type of enemy except antlions/guards, manhacks, scanners and CPs.
I'm considering just making the place where the rebels are basing the ruins of the nexus themselves, mostly flattened with only a little evidence of what it used to be.
Wow, this is gorgeous! Your mapping is simply incredible, keep up the good work!
It's only in dev stage as I'm sure you can tell, it'll look much more damaged as it goes on. All the other geometry except a few parts is equally blocky, it's just hard to see in this picture. It also gets even more damaged during the battle, a lot of those walls are breakable.
Indeed it is. I just wanted to show you guys what I've been working on.
True, some sort of protection for the driver is pretty important for a Combine Vehicle. I'll keep working on it.
Very cool, looks very realistic. The dust effects are good as well.
Wow. Beautiful. If this is WIP, I absolutely cannot wait for the finished version.
It's one of the vents from the incinerator room, right?
Good displacement work, and the design reminds me of something out of Myst.
I'm about to upload a much prettier version of that area. ;)
Looking good, although are you eventually going to have plant models in addition to the decals? It would definitely look more realistic.
Yeah, I was concerned that this area was too dull, it could definitely use some spicing up.
Looks very nice and clean, even for a WIP. Fine work.
Ooh, pretty. Although one of the pillars is far too dark, but the rest looks fine.
Yeah, boxy, front end is still being worked on.
It looks better than in this screenshot, and It's essentially a huge gantry crane. I just haven't added the crane part. Although, you're right about texture variation, I'll work on that.
Hey, you're right, it kinda does. I wish they still had that screensaver.
