I’m a person that is looking for a career in the game industry as a Level Designer. I’m a specialist in Whiteboxing using BSP, as well as Detailing with Static Meshes and decals I also do Final Lighting. I’ve worked with several 3D engines like Half-life 2 - episode 2; Radiant – Doom3; Unreal - 2k4 and 3 [both Gears of War and Unreal Tournament]. One day my mother discovered the Guildhall at SMU and I checked it out and it was everything I could hope for. This program had a great track record for student placement after graduation as well as professionals in the industry that were the instructors. They knew about the crunch and meeting deadlines and all the stuff a regular English/business major would never understand. After many years of not making levels but saying I wanted make levels for a living I decided to get some official training from someone who knew what they were doing. Thanks for reading my short Bio. Yesterday I posted a question on the GEARS of WAR forums and got a response from LiquidLeary. It was really nice of him to help me with my problems in the GEARS of WAR editor. Below is a link to the thread I created.
I can only hope that I can get the same response fullness from LiquidLeary on the reaming issues with my Guildhall project. I want to make my Seeders act like they do in the campaign. Also I need to figure how to get point of interest to work properly. Where the player presses "Y" to make the camera focus on something the Level Designer needs them to focus on.
