The name of the map is "The forests of Drusna" or "Die Wälder Drusnas" so perhaps you searched at the wrong place because of that.

Excellent trailer, guys! I loved every bit of it, from the content you showed to the music and voice acting. That's probably one of the best trailers for a mod I've ever seen. You've got my vote for sure :D

They told in the German forum that the update should be out in the next days. Here it will probably be a bit later as they have to translate it into English first, but I think it will be out sometime next week.

In the PcAction-Article is written that the estimated release will be in the second half-year of 2013.

I'd highly recommend you to NOT bombard him with letters, as that would just be counterproductive. If you want to give him prove that Merp has a big fan base, it will be enough to send him a link to the petition.
The team should just write him ONE well written and detailed letter containing all the necessary information.

Because German is the native language of the developers, not everybody in the developement-team speaks English as good as he should to be able to mod in English
and also because the main part of the Edain community is German-speaking and not all of them are able to understand English, it wouldn't be fair to stop releasing the German versions

Because it's a tremendous amount of work. Animations are pretty difficult to create...

It's a long time ago, since I played the campaign the last time, but I think you don't have to kill Smaug.
You should just flee to the lower left(?) corner. However, I'm not 100% sure.

I have installed my game in English and I can play it without any problems^^, but you can get some "missing scripts", where descriptions should be.

It depends whether you campare it with 3.61 or with 3.7
If you compare it with 3.61 there's a lot of new stuff (e.g. the new dwarfen heroes), but check it out yourself, it's worth it.
If you compare it with 3.7, it's "just" a bugfix version. The focus of this version was fixing bugs and doing a better balance.

Better balance, new mission maps, new models and skins for the Rohan farmers, the more expensive a unit is the bigger is the chance for recoil, the Kampftrolle aren't that strong anymore, farms now deliever 15 ressources instead of 10
and a lot of bugfixes.
