That happened to me when I had Clearwire as a service provider. If your internet is being wirelessly sent to your house (as opposed to something wired like cable), it could cause downloads to stop. The only way I could download something was to torrent it (which Project Reality and Forgotten Hope 2 both do).

Go to the "mods" folder under the bf2 folder in your hard drive and create a folder (which I would name LMS or Last Man Standing). Extract/copy-past all of the LMS mod files into that new folder. The mod is now "installed". Then open up regular BF2, go to the "community" tab, and then the custom games section under that. There should be a list there with regular BF2, BF2 Special forces (if you have it), and the mod (named after the folder you created). Click the mod and it will show the mod description to the right and a button to launch it under that. This is how you install/play a mod that doesn't have a built-in installer.

If the mod doesn't work, make sure you have BF2 patch 1.5, re-install the mod, and, if you have windows 7, run BF2 in compatibility mode for Win XP. If none of this works, it's probably the mod's fault and you'll have to wait for a patch or just skip it.

Do you have Windows 7? Try running it in compatibility mode if you do. Between that and re-installations, I can usually get any mod working on mine.

The option sliders on co-op/singleplayer don't have labels on mine. It's not a huge problem, if anyone could just tell me what each one does position-wise, that'd be great

Way to help your case, skullterror.

Ok, I understand where you're coming from. However, you can't leave the community hanging like this (I nearly left a "you need to grow up" post before I saw the argument). If this is how you feel, then tell the community in a final update/news post, maybe you can turn the community against skullterror. However, by ending the mod like you have (without any sort of clue on how you feel), you've placed yourself at near the same level as skullterror (...well, maybe not that low). If I was in your position, I'd still release the mod, but I wouldn't release any betas, videos, or even screen-shots until the actual day of release, but still let the community know that I was going to release it (just my opinion).

Obviously, skullterror needs to grow up a serious amount, but don't let that stop you. I see potential in this mod, which shows potential in you, and if you want to continue modding, you're probably going to hit obstacles like skullterror in the future, it's just a depressing part of life. You'll know when your potential is realized when you're able to get around them with honor and great mods, and you WILL be respected for it.

I have the same issue :(

You wouldn't have happened to torrent the 1.5 patch, did you? My internet's too feeble to download 2 gigs of patch without being interrupted, so I torrented it (I did buy the game, though). I wonder if that has anything to do with it.

1. I don't think zombies need more health. In fact, I think they need less health. It seems like I need a whole clip to kill a zombie with a rifle. For example, my favorite gun is the AK47u, but it takes almost an entire clip for me to kill a zombie with it. It may be the fact that I usually play by myself against 48 zombies, but I still think they have too much health. I like to be able to kill more zombies with less bullets.
2. Ammo would be good if the zombies had less health.
8. Storage/Warehouse is a pretty good map, but I think a more realistic one would be nice. One that has tighter spaces, but is larger overall. Maybe something like an apartment complex, or an airport.
9. Also, the zombies with guns are driving me crazy; it seems like they can kill me with less bullets than I can kill them. So again, I think the zombies could use less health.
-Also, if there is any possible way, maybe you could unlock the weapons for all maps. I like the variety you already have, but I think it would be awesome if you could also unlock the other guns.
*Awesome mod so far! :D

I fixed it. I installed the mods in the wrong order. Thank you for your help anyway.

Setting the terrain to low didn't work, neither did setting BF2 to compatibility mode for XP. I'll try reinstalling it. Is the mod supposed to be in it's own folder in the mods section, or directly under the BF2 directory (which has worked for other mods before)?

I'm running vista 64-bit and the mod works fine (except for some sound issues).

I installed the third person patch, and now it crashes when I hit "Go, go, go"

It keeps crashing. Is there something I'm missing? I downloaded the core, two map packs (minus dead town), and all patches except the third person patch (do I need that if I don't want to use third person?). I'm using Vista and it crashes somewhere between 60-80% when it loads. Maybe I installed it incorrectly?

If you care about my opinion...
-Try custom maps. Put spawn points in the center/air drop as if you're a survivor or an incoming soldier. Corpses and blood in certain areas may make it more realistic/tell a story.
-Swap up the zombie positions. Try programming the AI commander to randomize zombie positions every minute or so to keep them moving, or possibly make them more alert to your presence.
-I like DeadSomething's idea, maybe make a map alike to COD zombies for people who have lower end computers and can't run COD5.
-More maps!
Overall, awesome, but I wish to see more from this mod.
