As far as I am aware, 16000kb is NOT 16mb, nor is 8000kb, 8mb, because they are not to the power of two. So show my error, don't just say I am wrong, show WHERE I am wrong. Computers calculate far more quickly with numbers that follow the same pattern, it's simple maths.

What? If you are talking about the dimensions of the render looking skinny, then you might want to look closer.
This IS the HL1 engine, models don't cast shadows, because they are not part of the level architecture. However, dynamic shadows might be added as the GC code progresses.
My textures look very nice ingame, if I do say so. :P
