Without acccess to said content, not likely. That's the problem with limiting access, I can't use the features to see if I like them. Time based demos have worked well with both Towns and Gnomoria.

The demo version is too gimped. Just make a time limited version (14 in game days maybe). You won't be getting money from me based on the current demo.

It's not 20 for the alpha, it's 20 for the game. I've paid that much many times for various games. If the game was released no one would blink at it, and I don't blink at it as is. I just don't want to pay for something without knowing what I'm getting. Once there is a demo, I'll probably end up paying for the game, if it at all lives up to the promise it holds. I think people just confuse Independent Developer with Cheap Game Made Just For Love.

I'm not willing to pay without a demo, especially with an alpha.

How's this for epic, to get it to work on Linux 64 with Java 7 you need to download the latest version of lwjgl and copy lwjgl/jar/lwjgl.jar and lwjgl_util.jar to towns/lib/ (replacing the ones that are there) and copy the entire contents of lwjgl/native/linux to towns/lib/native (replacing all six files). Keep a backup copy of the fixed files under a different name in the folder (say, lwjgl.jar.fix) so that you can quickly copy them after updates.
