That is the one problem,distributed damage from weapons would be a much better idea with the OPTION of targeting specific hardpoints to take them down...that'd be the optimal scenario,would allow you to fire on the main guns of a ship while still keeping it's strength the same overall.

Is this 'mod for the mod' campaign still going on for the new release,as personally I'd like to see a mod like the one for the first SGEAW that added super hardpoint detail(Can't remember which one it was) because for me having about 30 hardpoints on a ship just adds another layer of realism.

I shall do a re-install of the mod and leave the game running for a bit with full visibility to check for construction.
With a guard on my base of a ton of turrets so they can't flatten it without me seeing ofc.
I have been trying it on Hard,ill try it on the other 2 difficulties too.

Yeah im really hoping the team rope you in to do more custom scenarios as they are what complete the game for me,i dont do anything any more except the custom scenario's(ESPECIALLY the Supergate 4.0 Final which is awesome because i can basically do Anything vs Anything)

With the only mod for "Mods for the mod" go and check out the Wraith VS Lantian Scenario with the Wraith station and its Type 2(I think) Plasmacannons.

Those monsters can now rip through a Lantian Battleship in about 2 volleys and anything smaller in 1(Corvette gets 2 shots for shield and the rest for the hull)
Same goes for the lantian weapons platform which serves as the Ancient base on this map.

Its actually pretty funny watching my forces get decimated till i figured out how to beat it.

For those using the Stargate Mod by christ here is a way to find the most OP guns in the game:
Do a Lantian VS Wraith game and play Lantian.
Send fleet to attack wraith base.
Watch as OP plasmacannons wipe out a cruiser in 2-3 volleys.
I still managed to beat the base(Scrambling jumpers to go in first and draw fire from these OP plasmacannons,a single shot even glancing a jumper made it explode)

Anyone actually had a REAL battle in this,IE:One they barely won by the skin of their teeth(Or the plating on the port engine) as battles i have seem to fall into 2 catergories;
1:Complete steamroll,i utterly and completely flatten the enemy while losing nothing/little
2:Total Loss,everything gets destroyed or i escape with about 1-2 ships still intact from a battle fleet of about 30-50
And the only time i have seen number 2 is over Asurus and Atlantis,with the Asurans and Wraith respectively.

Once this mod is released someone should try and make a "realism" mod for it where everything stays true to canon,including the completely stupid damage caused by the Ori beams,Plasmabeams and other stuff.

It would allow a completely different game to emerge where strategies such as flanking and distraction to get away from main guns would become incredibly useful,as 5 BC-304's behind an Ori ship could probably take it out,but infront they would be wiped out.

Personally i would rather die in space than on some rock.
Dieing in a space battle is my prefeered way to go if i ever get the chance.

Also if when we die we get to "choose" what to do or so to speak,i will so go to the stargate universe at the start of the programme as a near-ascended human and be forewarned about everything(The Aschen Situation,the Tollan being pwnt etc etc) and when the priors get around,i can whoop their *****.

Having sex with Vala and Adria would also be a bonus,along with carter.

Anyway speaking of multiplayer,me and another dude tried in the 1.2 for about 3 hours to get a multiplayer match,inbetween sync errors,random crashes and simply being unable to join the lobby we got 2 minutes of a space battle
