Don't just unpack this folder in your warband folder, but open it first (the needed file is inside an additional folder), otherwise it won't work ; )

Cool, I'm always looking forward to M&B Mods that don't heavily rely on cavalry. Fighting bloodsoaked on foot just makes for another feel ; )

The date seems a bit off ;)
Can you somehow change the days to let's say weeks? I guess it'll seem a bit off when you travel from one side to the map to the other in a few days. Perhaps just renaming days to weeks or something like that?
Anyways, keep up the good work!

omg this mod looks really cool! I'm looking forward to trying this out during these holidays :D
Glad somebody seems to have done a mod who is not a fan of a certain faction and makes that one super-overpowered and the others ill-designed cannon-fodder (I've seen a lot of mods from 300 and Rome fans out there...)

Thanks for the low-res version!

Soooo, am I the only one wondering why the heck at the time of Marc Aurel (~150 BC) the Roman Empire consists pretty much only of Italy?
Plus these other factions seem just a random bunch of weak troops in vanilla gear.
I'm not gonna vote this mod because I haven't tested it, but so far it really just seems like one of these mods so called Roman-fans do that consist of overpowered Roman troops from a random age fighting against some superweak enemy at a time where there shouldn't be any big wars left. I mean, the Romans were pretty much just trying to defend their huge empire at this point in time...

Nice, I like the Vulcano, seems a lot like a place the Valyrians would want to use as an bastion to conquer Westeros!
Dragonstone doesn't have a harbor though? I'd imagine with the royal fleet being stationed there (under Kind Robert) there should be an actual "Dragonstone Harbor".

Agrippa91 - - 29 comments @ 2.0 preview 3: Princes, Sellswords and Seneschals

I've read in the changelog that "morningstars" now do "piercing" damage instead of "blunt" which is great (it is unrealistic right now plus it is way too easy for people to farm captives this way).
But does this also include maces? Because in medieval times maces most of the time did not really have sharp but pointy edges to transfer all of the energy of the blow into a single spot to maximize the impact, especially against armored opponents.
So a "piercing" damage perhaps would be better suited here. Overall it doesn't matter how you call it, but an opponent shouldn't just get knocked unconscious when killed by a mace, that's not how this weapon worked!

Agrippa91 - - 29 comments @ Dragonstone Knight

Does the knight have a visor (can't really see)? I dunno, it just seems really weird to me why you would have full armor, but no visor to protect your face.
I like the helmets of Renly's soldier (Donal Noye already said Renly was copper^^), but the small stag seems weird for two reasons:
1. They're common soldiers and while it's relatively easy to craft the helm as it is there's no reason to have such fine figures on a mass army product.
2. It just seems really brittle in general, so propably even knights wouldn't have this but instead some sort of engraving.

Nice work though, the new pictures look awesome, I love the details!

Agrippa91 - - 29 comments @ M&B Warband - Born to Serve *CLOSED*

Hm, my Steam account doesn't seem to work right now, so I'll just throw in my opinion here:
I like the idea of becoming the second-most important character in Calradia. Why not enable the option to convince a lord to rebel against his monarch? Of course you need 100 relation with your lord and a certain amount of persuasion. He of course also has to be really powerful hisself.
Perhaps new missions imply finding allies for a revolution against the current king?
It kinda plays like with a claimant there, only that you're still in his army. It's a necessity to guide your lord when he besieges his first cities and castles since that's of course really important for how you start the new kingdom.

Perhaps you can then kill your lord, pardon, king because you only used him as a marionette? But that's propably theme for another version then...

Hm, I've always shied away from Freelancer because I thought all this mod added was a different early game (you can join a lord and fight in his battles instead of hunting bandits).
The right hand/bodyguard sounds really nice. Many great men in history had followers they could trust with their lifes, nobody is able to rule on his own...

They could make something like a ranking system on their website though, that'd be great!

Oh wow, the description of the mod looks really cool. I always had a problem with M&B because the fighting system is awesome, but the game is pretty much about fighting alone and not about any sort of real story.
I'll definitely check this out!

Agrippa91 - - 29 comments @ The Last Days of the Third Age 3.3 — Warband patch

That's actually not 100% correct.
Unpack the TLD folder in your \modules foler, that's right.
The Warband Compat patch as well as Swyter's Quick Fixes have to be in the TLD folder though (if it wants to overwrite something it's right).
The installation video as pointed out before is really good, too!

Agrippa91 - - 29 comments @ There's tens of thousands of them! Uruk-Hai!

I know it's not in the film, but Pikemen should really be given sidearms (comparable to the short swords in the ancient greek phalanx). i mean srsly, are they supposed to punch people with their hands when the come near?
They'd still not be as good as Uruk-Hai Swordsmen because they don't have a shield which makes them highly susceptible to enemy archers.

Don't get me wrong, I like the emphasis on no cavalry just because it allows a lot more manoevring etc. and doesn't make battles into these rush-slaughters they otherwise sometimes.
Light Cavalry would be nice, too though : )

I find the idea of this mod very refreshing!
And yes you actually can make cavalry versatile and not overpowered!
The main issue with native and a lot of mods is that they just have really heavy cavalry, so the "knights" are very close to the best infantry in the game, so you just can use only cavalry instead of infantry, even in sieges.

An interesting idea would be to make shock cavalry with very versatile lances that are best for charging the rear of the enemy or hunt down enemy archers and fleeing enemies (last one is especially an issue when you don't have cav in your army).

Also you should either nerf armored horses considerably or make them available for lords/player only.

When you have heavy cavalry you also can just make the upkeep costs really high, another option would be to make them occupy more slots (is that possible?) or give them a really low morale if they don't get accompanied by an equal amount of squires (light cavalry). I'm not into modding M&B though, so I don't know if that's possible either...

Only the foot soldiers should have this really heavy armor. When you give them throwing weapons (which I've seen in the trailer), too they come very near to roman legionaires which were propably the best infantry troops of the world.
Those of you who played the mod "a clash of kings" back when the Unsullied still had javelins know what I'm talking about when I'm saying that infantry can be really strong.

I don't really have time right now, but I'll definitely check out your mod in the future!
