I really like the concept, and taking your last two mods into consideration, I have no doubt that this will be executed well. I can't wait to see in-game screens and videos.

You guys are actually making me want a Stalker game or mod based in a desert like this
To be completely honest, S.T.A.L.K.E.R in a desert is actually a fairly interesting concept
Why is there not scifi/future mixed with Post Apocalyptic?
THAT would be something way worth playing.
The lighting makes it almost look... tropical.
Which would ruin the atmosphere of Stalker :P
Will there be any unique monsters, or strange areas in LA?
One of the things I loved about SoC was sitting around and reading the folklore on the PDA - The stories that you read were so unique and freaky, and yet so realistic within the context of the game. As far as I know, the only "ghost story" you get to take part of in vanilla SoC involves the pseudodog that makes copies of itself in the Red Forest, I wish you could just read one of those folklore stories and then find the place where they happened, or the monsters they spoke of.
I hope "semi-automatic" still means "burst fire," That's one of the main things I like about the BR
Unless you're not planning to keep it exactly canon, I suggest you read the books - Fall of Reach especially.
I'm pretty sure the books are canon, anyways.
I guess character concept is best to start with caricatures, right? ;)
It's looking great, you guys have a good mapper :)
I really like the large scale sculptures you can make with the map editor, it'll probably be my favorite part of the alpha if I ever get myself to get it.
Very good clothing models, I like the little foot protectors.
A much needed update, I must say.
Though, Easter Eggs? I never thought about looking for those. I'm going to have to find them all, then :)
One of the few things that have been bothering me about your maps:
The use of Half Life 2 textures. I understand if you don't have a texture artist yet, but the vanilla textures just don't look very... modern, for the setting of the mod.
But for all other reasons, I'm quite looking forward to playing this :)
If you're going to make it so you have to be in ironsights to fire the gun, then at least make it so that you can still move at a decent speed when aiming. In games, I find that it would make more sense if the benefit of using a pistol would be mobility, instead of accuracy.
Though I really like the way it works so far. Can't wait to see the mechanics for the other guns!
The only real difference seems to be that you put it all together :P
The scope does make it look better, I must say. But, to me, it seems more like the kind of scope you would have on a sniper rifle. Perhaps make it a red dot sight instead?
Great improvement from the WIP maps I've seen, it fits the atmosphere better
I've had that happen, right near my castle.
I got so enraged at it that I built a sand tower up to it and chopped the damn thing down.
>:( That shouldn't happen! It's IMPOSSIBLE!
It's a good clay model, but I find the guy a bit skinny looking to be a "heavy" gunner. Though, I see that it's a bit different in the concept art for this guy.
I have to say, I still like it :)
Is THE dev still owning in modding?*
;) Just read the credits.

Well, I mostly created this account to follow mods, as I am prone to do with websites. But I am willing to try a few things, such as voice acting. I do not have a professional microphone, and I suppose I'm a bit... young, but if you're desperate I'd like to try. It would have to depend on the role, and also whether or not you can tolerate me criticizing the script.
