never thought I'd have to buy a game a second time to play it, I feel like this is one of Ubisofts usual shenanigans

do you have any plans on making the ship AI:

1. use its anti ship heavy turrets (which aren't built to shoto down fighters) to shoot the enemy ship right next to it instead of the enemy fighters and bombers far away while ignoring said nearby enemy ship no matter how many times I tell ti to

2. make ship pathing more sane, i tell them to go in one direction they go around it more often then not right into the middle of the enemy fleet only then do they start heading towards where I locked

off topic: any fix for my captured ships disappearing
when I capture hem they don't appear as one of my ships anywhere
and yes the entire enemy force was wiped och except for the ships I captured

actually its AI needs more work than its looks

it doesn't try to get enough distance to do a missile strike when coming back around for a second strafing

how come repair droids don't repair CIS infantry ?
they seem to repair everything else just fine

also is the path-finding for space units fixed ?

other problems:
*the CIS artillery tank pauses for a while after firing two shots
*some enemy land forces in space don't die no mater how much heavy laser fire they take (both CIS and republic)
*the ground to space weapon for the CIS is pretty weak in terms in damage, the cooldown is fine

I don't mind if its just the rebel vs empire classic era only GC

as for the campaign, I never stop at just one small change with my ideas, I like taking things further :D

(Adseria's Comment: where do we get the voice actors from?)
you don't need to add voice overs, subtitles will do just fine,

(Adseria's Comment: Interesting name...)
you got a name for palpatine more fittign that potato face ?

(Adseria's Comment: So the CIS stays alive and somehow turns into the Rebels?)
the CIS won't become the rebels, the rebels only truly exist in the game a while after the CIS is eliminated for good

(Adseria's Comment: Wait, so you switch sides mid-game?)
Starwars.wikia.com
remember the delegation of 2000 who felt potato face had too much power and decided to start the rebellion with star killer, we the player have our own doubts about the empire, we are given the choice to remain loyal to the potato or fight against him

(Adseria's Comment: So, basically, the Empire's units magically disappear for no apparent reason?)
the empire is obsessed with big capital ships, they melted their existing fleet down for materials for the big guns

Adseria's Comment: So, not just switching sides, but switching game mode, too?)
in all honestly there are a tonne of restrictions on the AI to prevent it from doing anything to stop the alliance from forming like not allowed to make big fleets, only the rules change to ensure that the early phase isn't undermined by the AI but that is the exact same as being in a campaign mode where things follow a predeterminer path

(Adseria's Comment: Even if you chose to support the Rebels?)
yes even if you chose the rebels, the rebels have no really fighting power at this point and you control a giant military for the empire, you'd be pretty useful to the rebels if your remained with the empire since you could turn a blind eye to some stuff and buy time for the resistance to build its military
the call to arms thing is simply to officially leave the empire and take command of the rebel forces

(Adseria's Comment: Now we're programming traps into the game, too?)
sort of, remember the EaW mission where han and chewie had to scan some cargo while avoiding detection
similar thing, only the rebels place ion bombs in hidden locations that explode on proximity to ships, they disable imperial ships buying you enough time to hyper space otu of their, a bunch of corvettes aren't much a a threat to star destroyers.... so yes they function as traps

(Adseria's Comment: If they don't capture any planets, how can they fight a war of attrition? I assume you meant "a guerrilla war." Also, this paragraph is full of spelling and grammar errors)
yep, just attack weak imperial space forces then after taking out a ship or two retreat out of there

(Adseria's Comment: This is probably the easiest part to program so far; just add a smuggler to the planet and add it back whenever the Empire tries to remove it. One question, though: If you don't hold any planets, where do you build new units, and where do you send your units between battles?)
the rebels were financed by sen.Organa, my reason for alderaan being the main source of finance, they also provided ships to the rebels (episode: princess on lothal)
in the latest episode the rebels did set up a base on some desert like planet so you could add that for production of units but some people unhappy with the empire provided ships and equipment to the rebels, your not building so much as buying at this point, you can build later during the final phase
as for where to keep em, there old abandoned outposts in space in the star wars universe, the rebels simply have to re-purpose them till they can get a planet

(Adseria's Comment: You have no planets; where do you build this research option? Remember that everything (including research) is done at planets.)
alderaan, they finance you and provide ships, pretty sure they could temporarily lend us they research facilities

(Adseria's Comment: No real problem here; I assume that either income would be high, or construction costs low, on the planets that you gain as a result of the aforementioned "it has begun" research)
pretty much

(Adseria's Comment: Again with the changing game modes! And what do you mean by "You get a while to build up your forces?" Do you mean that the Empire can't attack during this time or something?)
simple, after capping the planets you have around 10-30mins of time to build a few strong fleets, after time runs out all the restrictions on the AI are lifted so it goes back to how it always worked by sending large or medium size fleets to wherever it sees fit

(Then there's the side limit; EAW:FOC can't handle more than 3 sides, and yours requires four, unless you plan on having the Republic and CIS turn into the Empire and Rebels at some point.)
the CIS is long gone by the time a rebel unit is seen in the game
the republic is already the empire after order 66 is issued
the rebel transmissions are simply to fill you in that stuff is going on, rebel units don't exist at this point

strange idea, how about GC for rebel vs empire version of fall of the Jedi

basically after the Jedi Purge, your character is in a conversation with other prominent star wars characters who are appalled by the Jedi purge and start having doubt with the empires rise
after that you occasionally get holo transmissions of various character including emperor potato face
and when the CIS is almost defeats they only have a few planets left, you are eventually asked if you support the empire or not
based on that choice you will either remain a loyal pet of Sidious or join the Rebel Alliance (well your gonna play a hand in its formation)
once the CIS is defeated the empire will automatically lose a lot of their forces to make it easier for the rebels to be a threat while they build up their forces

at this point the game is literally switches to a campaign, after all is require stuff is done it goes back to being GC

early phase:
1. now till the rebels are fully set up you will for a while remain with the empire
2. the rebels get free ion bombs and other traps for space maps to help them escape any unwanted encounters by disabling the imperial ships and fighters which get caught
if you chose pro-empire you can't see these traps and will get caught in em, if you chose anti-emprie you can see em and pick paths where you do trigger em or take slow paths
3. the rebels will only stick to a war of attrition when they do some damage and then fall back, they won't capture any planets early one but rather just reek havoc on the empire's stuff
4. alderaan is their only massive source of income, over time some planet will start secretly supporting the alliance you will know this when you get a holo transmission from them declaring their secret support and provide funds but these planets won't be held by you
5. the empire can only send a fleet of 3 ships to fight the rebels during this phase
6. the characters from the star wars rebels series can be added here, after all its not star wars without the jedi

establishment phase:
you get a research option that says "it has begun" for zero cost, after the timer runs out its several planets rebel and get taken over by the alliance

if you chose the rebels you will be given a call to arms transmission from Mon Mothma or someone in the alliance, you are told that a galaxy wide rebellion is about to start, you leave the empire and take direct control of rebel forces (you you imperial traitor you)

if you chose empire you will get a transmission from tarkins, vader, agent callus or someone saying that several planets have begun to revolt and will have to do what the empire always does, stomp it down

the whole point of this phase is to caputre at least 30 planets where construction costs are very low

after capping 30 planets you get a while to build up your forces after that you move to the final phase where its regular GC in all its splendor
