This group is for everyone who like tanks, sci-fi tanks, real tanks, funny tanks, you can put here tank mods, tank maps, simply everything with straps, armor and gun :D
Usually most of the improvements are not visible. For example, T-34 and T-34-85 is far not the same. As well as Sherman of WWII and Sherman of Korean war are two different Shermans.
If we talk about modern warfare - the situation is even more interesting. We can take an outdated tank of 70-80th, buff it with modern stuff like ERA, countermeasures, electronics, etc, etc, etc, and hop-hey - we got a tank of new generation, ready for modern warfare. Of course it is possible to dive deeper into the details and discuss the advantages and disadvantages of such methods, but nevertheless...
That cannon probably wasn't any great, since they moved quickly to 125 mm and 100 mm for vehicles.
True that new ERA makes completely new tank, that's why there are so many versions of T55, 64, 72, 80, 90... but T62? I don't think I saw any heavily modernized version.
Personally, I don't like them. I don't see much improvement from T55.

Yeah T-62 was a little... meh.
Oh, come on now. Don't pretend that you wouldn't drive it until it fell apart and then some more if you had one for yourself =)
Of course!
