But the China already developed the 150mm smoothbore for Type-99KM
now whose cannon did they copied this time?
Caliber does not equal power.
Look at World War 2 for example. Compare two Soviet Anti Tank guns
The ZIS-2 was 57mm caliber while the ZIS-3 was a 76mm caliber
The ZIS-2 was just as effective if not more because it fired at a much higher velocity. To the point that A small number of T-34s were gunned with the 57mm gun and turned into tank killers. this was of course earlier in the war however.

Reminds me of those planned versions of king tiger with a 105mm.
i don't know king tiger have any 105mm cannon
it didn't but was planned for future production.
a bigger gun might mean a new tactic and new role for the battle tank.
