don't think so....
one air raid on that "monster" and its dead.
And beeing so quick 20 km/h max it will not escape.

So size does not matter! Speed and low siluette matters!

Heeey Shroomman, you do realize that the designers realized this. Each Ratte was supposed to be assigned some 20 or 30 SPAAA guns, and was being designed during a time when Germany had total air supremacy over Europe.

Disagree. Size is the last problem of this tank. Carriers and cruisers also can be destroyed by a single, dozens times cheaper torpedo, but ya know, still nobody cancelled their production. The only problem of this tank - logistical. This tank is just a disaster for the terrain. Besides, u have to find out how to transport it, if this monster will lose it's mobility, and how to repair it in the field :D

Ratte vs. Overlord, who will win?

Dutchygamer Aug 8 2011, 1:43pm replied:

Seeing as the Overlord would be roughly the same as a Tiger with 2 barrels, I think Ratte =P

n5p29 Aug 9 2011, 10:28am replied:

hmm... after checking several wikis, I see Overlord is indeed smaller than Ratte, but still quite bigger than Tiger. estimately if you put three-four Overlords side-by-side in width, it's equal to a Ratte.
but interesting that it seems Uberlord is bigger than Ratte. xD

>still debating about Ratte

Oh Come on now! Seriously! Aren't we done with this yet?

>my face when some people still don't know about the Ratte project being cancelled by Albert Speer in 1943 and that it was NEVER gonna happen to be built ever.

>my face when some people still believe this thing would have ever existed when in fact it wouldn't.

you sir are ignorant. people keep debating of this monster because its fascinating to think what it would be in real life! i mean how HUGE it would be and how much destruction it would seed, and if not in real world then maybe on a world made from concrete :D atleast there wouldnt be any logictical problems.
