T-95 got 125mm cannon. but im still wondering who will... i think it really depends on situation on battlefield and on crew of tank. we must make war to test it :D:D:D

They're both unproven in combat. The abrams went up against outdated models of t-72 and t-55 with badly trained crews and ****** ammo. And the t-90? well that just hasn't seen combat as far as i know.

Well, T-90's armor was tested against most advanced AT projectiles which are equal to the best projectiles for abrams's 120mm gun.

true yet this is still not combat, what were the conditions outside? where did the round hit on the tank? was there any other damage there before? what is the relative training of the tank crews in question? How far out was the round fired from? how fast can the crew react to being hit by the round and can they get a round (or in the t90's case also a atgm) on the target fast enough? really, you can do all the lab testing you want and gloat about your tank till the cows come home but until it has seen full on combat with other tanks then its still just maybes and gloating

Note: i think both tanks are awesome although i prefer the look of the t-90mbt and like the idea of firing atgms out the barrel

'real combat' isn't that much different from tests. Also the Leoaprd 2A6 was tested by many foreign countries and the 3rd generation composite armor proved to resist most modern anti tank weapons as well. The Abram's side armor (mostly the turret) has been penetrated by RPG-7 a few times. But the T90, Leopard 2a6 & Challenger's side armor proved to be immune against this weapons. sure about the newer generation RPG-29 though....

But many MBTs will get active protection systems in the next following years which make them practically immune against any kind of grenade/rocket launchers.

Imho both suck, Javelin will own both any time of the day, before those two will even notice. On the other side more targets for the frogfoot :P

on some of russian tanks you can find some reactive armor on top against javelins and other, also there are some APSs that can outmanoeuvre these ATGMs.

Also we were comparing Abrams and T-90, not Tanks and Javelins, and go talk about aircraft to Aircraft lovers group :)

Again the Type 90 tank has never been tested (actually in combat) in the heat of battle, just like the T90.

We should have kept the M48 & M60 Patton in service as it is more reliable and it has proven itself through the decades and with various nations.

Also the M60 Patton had an under belly escape hatch, something the M1 designers didn't include...

Yeah but how do you flip a 60 ton tank. US military should be like GDI. M60 pattons used like the medium tank and the abrams used like the mammoth tank.

My point exactly... or perhaps, since you mentioned it... BUILD THE MAMMOTH TANK! Just imagine that!

You know the the M60 is still used today and it was used in the first gulf war. The abram tank is heavy mostly becuse of the composite aromor which includes several layers of cerammics including depleted uranium.
