Generally I'm not much of a fan of the Abrams bashing, but this... this is bad. Possibly the most embarrassing Abrams picture I've seen.
I can easily picture freakin' WW2-era tanks getting out of there for zog's sake.
... meanwhile in Russia, a T-90 serenely swims by in a swamp...
Things like this happens, sometimes, Give good old Abram a break, he can't be all prefect prefect all the time, nobodies prefect.
My guessing is that the entire tank crew will have to help the tank towers to compensate for their mistake.
Even the Leopard 2 can sink into the ground.
Look again: there is someone under the tank, inspecting something, most likely the inner road-wheels/suspension. There is no way the tank is "stuck" on dry, compact soil at that angle. Being an M1A1, the torsion bars have a bad habit of letting go on hard, fast bumps, but that wouldn't have stopped them from getting it out of the depression.
