It was widely exported to many countries though, and the only difference i can see is the colour of the rear of it.

Tanks and infantry cooperation.
Tanks and infantry exist for different purposes, yet similar in some way. Tanks needed to do certain tasks while infantry can do other. To meet best performance infantry and tank crew need to no what are they capable of as a team. Commonly tanks and infantry cooperate on battlefield and their propotion in numbers changes by their objective. In offence you need more tanks, in defence – infantry, fore example.
Capture Position.
Tank cannot capture enemy position by their own. All they can do is wipe enemy out while ‘capture and hold’ is infantry’s job.
Night vision.
Modern tanks has brilliant NV capacity wich allow them be fully operational at night. And don’t forget about searchlight. It can be successfully used in certian conditions.
Suddenness.
Tank size, mass and noisness will not allow tank to attack suddennly. But if operation planned properly tank nois can be fade by artillery barrage and tank itself – by smokescreen.
Topography.
Tanks cannot pass through rocky or rugged terrain as good as infantry can do. Also tanks is limited to move freely between vertical obstacles, in deep forest and over rivers.
Personaly contact tank commander.
Is THE BEST WAY to point target, but it is rather dangerous to climb on tank while it under enemy fire. If all hatches are locked tank crew cannot see anything that 15 meters close, so you better stay away from it.
Tank supplying.
Tank cannot stay with out supplylines as long as infantry can. After a day of combat tank “Chieftain” requires 20 fuel barrels, 40 cannon shots (*its about ammunition) and sufficient time for maintenance.
Psychological impact.
… lets just say… MASSIVE TANKS USAGE CAUSE YOUR ENEMY TO **** BRICKS!
Tank phone.
Many tanks got tank phone on its rear. But crew often prefer remove them. There were accidents during exercises. You know what I mean.
Radio.
Is best to contact tank crew because you can be on safe distance.
