*Fai walked up to the structure edged into the small hill near the landing zone. Or was it a miniature mountain? Fai couldn't decide. He could barely hear the men behind him, so good were they at blending in. He could sense them, though. Very easily.*

*He placed his hand on the rock, moving it around. After a few minutes, he found what he was looking for and his other hand took something off of his belt. A small key like object. He inserted it into the hole he had been searching for, and a few meters away the rocks parted. The group marched in.*

*Fai could feel the Dark Energies of the planet from the Umbris in orbit. Here, planetside, it was almost overwhelming. He felt as if one wrong move, a few seconds of his guard let down, and he would be overrun with it. He raised his hand, producing a strong light with it. The Rangers each had lights attached to their rifles, and used them to see in front of them. Sharpe was right beside him, his heavily modified sniper rifle primed and ready. They marched on deeper into the structure, intent on finding what they came for. Or die trying.*

The Shadow Wing exits hyperspace soon after the Umbris, full stealth systems engaged.

On-board, Aaron slips his helmet on and stretches his neck. He flips his lightsaber hilt around his hand several times before belting it to his hip. Looking across the room, he sees Nightshade, one of his assassins trained on the Armifer, getting ready.

His suit is a nano-weave, lightweight and flexible to allow fast movements but also strong enough to resist several attacks. On Nightshade's back is a collapsible cortosis pike and a modified long-rifle, and on his gauntlets were two detachable guard shotos.

Aaron grins to himself watching Nightshade prepare. "Ready for your first mission?"

"Of course," Nightshade replies.

Aaron nods. "SERA, take us down and over Fai. Once we're on the ground, land the Shadow Wing far from the Umbris and give me the coordinates. Be ready to leave on my command, and keep the ship hidden at all costs. If we run into trouble, take off and keep the ship moving until we need a pick-up."

"Confirmed, Aaron," the Shadow Wing's AI responds, and the ship descends, angled down before pulling up close to the surface.

As the ship flies over Fai's position, Aaron nods to Nightshade. The Shadow Wing's loading area is suddenly replaced with the desolate backdrop of the Korriban wastes. Behind the two, the startled rangers raise their weapons, but Fai settles them, unsurprised.

Aaron turns around, nodding to the Jedi master. He looks to Nightshade, but the assassin is gone, his training under Aaron serving him well. Looking out, Aaron sighs. He feels the familiar power of Korriban, but it is no threat to him.

"Looks like hell," Aaron mutters. "No wonder I feel at home."

OOC: This is before Fai enters the tomb thingy.

Some sort of ancient beast that's about to be set loose, that if not stopped will wreak havoc upon civilizations?

OOC: Sigh, you can all ask arcones, but after an anonymous tip, security was stepped up a lot in korriban.

IC: the imperial space station over korriban was put on high alert after a warning about a rebel attack. The station kept scanning for any signatures that matched known rebel ship signatures. They picked up two signatures that disappeared after a few minutes. Knowing the rebels' penchant for stealth, they turned on their new stealth systems. (installed after the first rebel raid). The picked up the signatures again and openned fire while activating gravity wells and blocking of all communications for all frequencies except their own, new one.

I never knew Stealth replaced shields... That is a rather stupid feature. Why would Stealth replace shields? Shouldn't it just use another power source?

Anyway, I don't mind being detected. Its the "bang, you're shot out of space" thing that annoys me. Sure, they can bring an Army with them if they want, at least then I could have a dignified death... xD.

OOC: sigh apparently i can't do what i wanted to do, so we can just go from you landing like in the beginning, except the empire knows you're there.

IC: after being alerted by the orbital station about possible intruders, the ground forces stationed at korriban were put on high alert and were actively scanning the planet to look for the rebels. They picked up some life signs at a sith tomb and converged on the location led by sith masters, their powers magnified by the dark aura of korriban.

OOC: Apologies for the delay. Stuff to do.

*Fai walks on. Aaron joins the Resistance Troopers and the Jedi Master and former Sith Lord exchange words as they progress through the tomb. It wasn't old and decayed like the many others on Korriban, this one was relatively new and fresh. The group walk through a narrow corridor, the Rangers place small motion detectors and various traps, including explosives and some small turrets, to cover their rear. They get to the other side of the corridor into a large room.*

*The first thing you see as you enter is the huge statue in the middle of the room, a man in robes standing straight, presumably the Tombs occupant. The walls were decorated with various paintings and images, sometimes writing was carved into the stone in an unknown and seemingly ancient language.*

"What we're looking for is in here. Rangers, form up on the rear. The Sith have probably detected our presence by now."

*The Rangers nod, going back to the corridor, their weapons aimed into the darkness. One of them has a device in his hand, monitering the motion detectors. Fai walks up to the statue, his head turned to Aaron.*

"Any ideas?"

Aaron gazes at the statue, observing it. "Not a one. I thought Fel would be coming with us, and at the least I expected him to tell us how to get in here. There is, more than likely, some secret passage triggered by something, but the questions are, what triggers the opening of this passage and where is this passage?"

He walks up, tapping the statue with his gauntlet before looking up at its head, smirking at the likeliness of Cronus. "Would you care to help us, Cronus?"

Sensors detect the intruders and from the bottom of the statue a holographic presentation of Cronus forms. The hologram is silent for a minute then speaks.

"There is nothing here but the remnants of a dying legacy. Why do you disturb this place? Who are you and what is your purpose here?"

the sith and commandoes reach the entrance to the tomb of cronus. it was openned. they sent in probe droids to ascertain the nature of the intruders. soon after they enterred they were destroyed either by proximity mines or automated turrets. these people were definited well armed, so they would have to be careful. the imperial commandoes went in first and moved slowly with sensors that would detect mines and they had their blasters ready for the turrets.

Aaron smirks. "Worth a shot," he mutters before gesturing to the party. "Let's move." He activates a communicator in his helmet, first addressing Nightshade. "Status?"

He hears some blaster fire. "They're here, but we're holding. The commandos were sent in first, and that corridor's been a life-saver. They can't bring their heavy hitters in without being blown to bits by mines or blaster fire."

"Good. Stand by, we're on our way." He switches channels. "SERA, prep the Shadow Wing for takeoff and stand by."

"Understood Aaron."

"Let's move!" He gestures to the others and they move back to the corridor.

OOC: I'm taking control of Fai and the Rangers for the remainder of this event. And Pain, the Sith Masters may be there, but it would be realistic for the Rangers and Nightshade to only be dealing with the commandos right now, as the exchange between the statue and Aaron would have taken around thirty seconds.

Everyone clear on everything?

Aaron walks over the dead bodies of the "Sith Lords" sent to kill them, some with holes in their chests, some charred, and some piles of ashes. Pathetic whelps, insolent to call themselves masters of the Dark Side. The powers of Korriban, the same powers his foes had believed to be their salvation, was still in his hands, but he stayed them and kept his darker instincts at bay.

"Let's move," he tells the group. Fai and the Rangers look shocked at the display. Aaron smirks. "I'm not going to kill you, trust me." A voice sounds in his earpiece.

"Aaron, hostile forces are closing in. The Shadow Wing is in the air and is on its way to you."

"Understood, SERA," Aaron replies. "Fai, get back to the Umbris with your men, don't draw attention to yourselves. We'll meet you at the rendezvous coordinates."

Fai nods, motioning for his men to move towards the Umbris. "You're sure you're alright?"

Aaron rolls his eyes. "I'm fine, Fai."

Fai turns and heads towards the Umbris, while Aaron and Nightshade wait for the Shadow Wing. Less than a minute later, they're in the cargo hold of the ship as it cuts through the atmosphere.

"SERA, get us out of here."

"Understood, Aaron."

The Shadow Wing and the Umbris jump to hyperspace at separate times, heading to different locations before meeting back in open space and jumping back to the Rebel fleet's constantly changing location, their prize in their hands.

Description

*A single ship exits hyperspace over Korriban. Stealth systems are in place, allowing it to pass undetected towards the planet. The ship itself was the Umbris Aquila, the well known freighter belonging to Master Fai of the Resistance.*

*On board the ship is a team of Antarian Rangers. Ranger Captain Sharpe, along with 20 other Rangers, are all preparing for the mission they are about to go on. Master Fai and his Twi'lek companion, Saye, are also on the ship. The Rangers all gather around their Captain and Fai as they are about to get their final briefing.*

"You all know the mission men, so I won't go over it again. This will be a simple in and out operation. We go in, get the objective, and go out. If things go well, and I mean really well, the Empire won't even know about this. But things rarely go well."

*Sharpe steps up.*

"Rand, Ture, Kathlis, Fhar and Wester, you'll stay on the ship with Saye. The rest of you will come with Master Fai and myself. This is where your training pays off. Make the Antarian Rangers proud, men. Make them proud. Anything to add, Master Fai?"

"Alot of lives are counting on this mission. We do this, millions, perhaps billions, could be saved from death. Not only innocent civilians, but Resistance soldiers and Imperials as well."

*Saye shouts out from the cockpit. They had landed.*

"May the Force be with us, gentlemen. May the Force be with us..."

OOC: As far as I know, Korriban has never been equipped with Stealth Detection systems (and I should know xD) so this is perfectly legit and you can't just shoot me out of the sky...

Plus I would like a reasonable explanation if any of you do just happen to bring a miniature army along (lol) in the area "on patrol".

Other than that, have fun! xD.
