*Aboard the Mantle, Ori'verda awaited his special guest anxiously. He walked the long halls of the Mantle's innards alone and slowly, inspecting all the advanced technology that had been gathered and placed for him and his people.*

*All of it, necessary for the future. But the key component was missing, Saber.*

Sab3rr Jan 25 2013, 2:56pm says:

*The space of the system where the Mantle was located, was crystal clear. The planet it orbited was crisp and vibrant, emanating a brilliant hue towards space.

A lone Jedi fighter jumps in from hyperspace, it's engines cooling off. It continues on for a few seconds, when ships of all sizes pierced the space around it in waves, exiting hyperspace. Cruisers, Corvettes, Star Destroyers and then a Massive Assertor class dreadnought comes to rest. They are spectacularly lit by the system's sun, reflections and highlights dazzle the space around them. They light their engines and float towards a massive clumped up field of asteroids. Within, the space station known as the Mantle lay.

The Jedi fighter in front flies in at high speed towards the asteroid field. Passing through it, a open plain inside is revealed, alive with a buzz of ships of all sizes. The Jedi fighter flies past all these ships, towards a open docking area. It lands gracefully on the landing platform, the huge shapes of the old Galactic Alliance fleet in the background, watching...spectating. This was the famous GA task force commanded by Master Saber and run by his old friend, Admiral Felsem.

The Canopy of the Jedi fighter wines open, and out hoped Master Saber, taking in the huge station in awe.
"Quite the present that crazy Mandalorian gave himself," he thought by himself.*

The Commander Jan 25 2013, 2:58pm says:

Part 1.

*In brilliant contrast to the last Galactic Alliance fleet stood an immense force of strange vessels the galaxy had not yet met. They hovered through the open plains, where the colossal Mantle station nestled, like ghost ships. Cold and lifeless, very dark. They colored the Mantle like dots and lines, providing an odd brown contrast to the ice particle that floated in the middle of them.*

*The plain was surrounded by an dense asteroid field. It covered a large area. Small sphere-like asteroids with jagged edges and larger cylindrical shaped ones were all obscured by the large spike rocks. The asteroid field was a frozen waste that was devoid of life, yet somehow bristled with a certain energy of its own.*

*And in the middle of this, the blue flower shaped space station took its place and title as largest object in the system aside from planets and suns.*

*This display gripped the souls of the last Galactic Alliance soldiers and made them uneasy, but Master Saber and Admiral Felsom stood their ground.*

*Saber's Jedi starfighter landed on a pedal of the Mantle and was greeted by a Mandalorian Warrior. Who bore the mark of Ori'verda's clan, these were members of his private army and loyal only to him.*

"Welcome to Mantle, please follow me to the inner chambers."

Part 2.

*The Jedi Master Saber followed the Mandalorian, whose armor was colored a dark bronze. Around the two were the lengthy halls of the space station that led to other sections and areas of significance.*

*Suddenly the Mandalorian stopped and started to talk.*

"What? Are you sure? Very well sir."

*He turned to Master Saber.*

"I'm going to give you a tour of the station before we go to Ori'verda."

*The bronze Mandalorian led the Jedi to a viewport and pointed to the massive fleet gathered outside and then to other pedals of the Mantle station, he indicated they were currently in one of its many pedals and a complete tour would take weeks.*

*They past a barracks, where it was ghastly silent like the dead walked it. Only a group of seven Mandalorians the tourguide called brave.*

"These halls are filled with cold and silence, we may our sleep and join the waking at any time. But Mantle is like space, a very dark void. Vast and empty. But one day, that will change."

"We are loyal to Ori'verda, is he decides to fly into the nearby sun for no reason then we will follow him. We once served his father with the same zeal. But we never asked why."

*The two made their way deeper into the station, noticeable there were less viewports. The barracks Master Saber saw was replaced by an Armory in this level, it held many weapons of varying sizes and were both conventional or exotic in nature. There were armor pieces everywhere and sets of intact armor.*

*The smell of paint was strong in this area. But there was also something else, an icy cold gas that covered the floor vaguely. Master Saber's breath became visible with each exhale and frost started to gather on his skin, the cold entered his bones.*

"We are now entering the Mausoleum, where a thousand Mandalorians await the command of Ori'verda."

*They stood upon a balcony, it was dark. Too dark to see, until the bronze Mandalorian summoned a terminal and activated the lights, before Saber were now a thousand cryogenic stasis pods that contained an army of Mandalorians in armor and with weapons at their side.*

*The pods were stacked in many rows going to heights and depths and stretching the entire horizon.*

"In the pods the army is dreaming of conquest and battle, the pods are connected to a sophisticated flash training program that allows the warrior to remain what he is without ageing, if they spent a thousand years in there they would wake up as the finest warriors in the galaxy for the machines would have readied them mentally and physically, I don't quite understand the process behind it but its genius. The only downside is that it takes a fair bit before the warriors get their bearing once they wake up."

"They also are allowed to take a break and train for a while in the real world, sound odd to say. Many prefer not too, these halls seemed haunted with all this damn cold."

"Fascinating," Master Saber said while staring into the vast chamber, leaning forward with the palms of his hands on the icy cold railing.
"But the point of all this eludes me. The conquest is out there. Not in your sleep. Why would Ori'verda go to all this length. What is he making all these warriors wait for?"

The Commander Jan 25 2013, 3:02pm says:

"All in good time. Follow me."

*The bronze Mandalorian led the Jedi Master over three bridges, two were common walkways and the middle and third one was automated for ease of travel and some higher speed. They past the Mausoleam.*

*Then they entered a room that contained the strangest of designs and blueprints for weapons, armor, equipment, vehicles and starships. Most notable, Warframe and Gauntlet among them. Various variants of Warframes surrounded the original draft, the idea table of the room. But it was clear that the final variant had been chosen as it hung above all others, Orion it was called and next to it were mentions of Lord Paladin.*

*The Gauntlet as it appeared, was a warship. Boasting prowess in all manor, from weapons to hull and shields, to even the smaller more unnoticeable things such as mess halls and sleeping chambers. On this design the name Vivec appeared.*

*The room was left behind, they entered a crossing point that led into the inner part of the Mantle. Behind Saber was the pedal he traversed.*

*And before him was a familiar sight, a Temple that was not unlike that of the Jedi. It too was cold, but warmer then the Mausoleum. They entered, the same pods were there but these Warriors were far different from conventional Mandalorian Warriors, they wore the Orion Warframe. Saber sensed something else was wrong with them, the Temple was unlike that the Mandalorians would be in unless they burned it to the ground.*

"The Lord Paladins are here, I cannot say much about them. But I believe the Temple says enough, I think this is where you will spend your time as well."

The Commander Jan 25 2013, 3:03pm says:

"We are nearing our destination."

*Unto the Exhibit they ventured, elongated and richly decorated halls changed drastically into rustic dark and damp corridors. Each room was as varied as the previous, each room was filled with things of art, history and significance and each room was a lot warmer then the previous areas.*

*The bronze Mandalorian led the Jedi Master Saber through the Chiss room, in it there were busts of famous Chiss such as Thrawn, Sev'rance Tann and Osik. Models of their powerful warships, like the Clawcraft and the Ascendancy Destroyer. Figures of Chiss troopers training and displays of their vehicles.*

*Then came the room of the New Sith Order, abominations were in every corner and were extremely life like. The centerpiece of it all was the Beroya. Behind the Sithspawn were the more common military units, Sith Troopers and Sith Lords.*

*Behind it was the room of the Exterior Union, full of strange soldier armors, weapons and starships that Saber had never seen before, the most recognizable were the normal looking Venators and Lucrehulks.*

"There are more rooms, Jedi and Mandalorian among others, even a room for Xim the Despot. But we have to move on."

*Some Mandalorians passed by, discussing something about Kamino. They were as grim as the Mandalorians Saber saw earlier.*

The Commander Jan 25 2013, 3:03pm says:

"They are grim because they walk a dead hall."

*Another area of the large space station revealed itself, the bronze Mandalorian simply called it the core. It was metallic and green, no decorations or attempt to mask the display of electronics and advanced technology.*

"The core is the heart of the Mantle according to some, but I debate them that it would be the the Sanctum. The two overlap a bit anyways."

*The the two passed by, a brighter green glow followed them from the walls, beneath them the same glow except that it would seem as if their feet activated something and it dissipated as soon as their boots hit the ground.*

*Something was tracking them.*

*The raw energy of the station was openly processed here, a step too close to a conduit and the power of the Mantle would bring a swift end to anything in its path.*

*There were also statues in the room, large and powerful in appearance. They were armed with many cannons that were the size of Saber himself. Awe inspiring and dread ensuing.*

*The bronze Mandalorian stopped in front of a large blastdoor, a terminal formed before him and he unlocked it. It began to open.*

"This is the Sanctum, Ori'verda awaits."

*Saber finds himself in a large open room, he was surrounded by the same sort exposed technology as he had seen in the Core section. Except here the currents of electrical energy seemed to be more in harmony and the metal beams that formed its oddly shaped walls were organized.*

*Before the Jedi Master was a long walkway, it led to the center of the room where two large power conductors merged their energy in a brilliant sphere that basked in a golden white light.*

*Master Saber tried to block the light with some cool Jedi shades but it was still present and it simply permeated the entire area surrounding him, but before him a black dot appeared. He could not sense what is was, the Force was dead in the area. But he carried on.*

"And finally he has arrived, it took you a while didn't it Master Saber? My old friend. Welcome to my Sanctum."

The Commander
The Commander Jan 25 2013, 3:09pm says:

Part 1:

*The grizzled Jedi Master looked upon what he could sense was Ori'verda. Sense by intuition, not the Force. The lights dimmed around the Mandalorian warrior clad in black and gold armor, his orange visor was rimmed with the same gold color and gave the impression of a royal bloodline. Perhaps this was purposeful on Ori'verda's part.*

*Saber knew that the colors also stood for Justice and Revenge, maybe that played a role as well. But that could be asked later.*

*The armor was also out of the ordinary, not like the traditional Shock Trooper armor. Were it not for the recognizable voice, Saber could have mistaken Ori'verda for someone else.*

*At last the giant warrior replied.*

"What am I up to? Well, the current situation in the galaxy is not particularly excellent. Frankly I'm bored. Odd given the galaxy is in war, but there is no place for me or reason in this war.*

*Ori'verda placed a hand on Saber's shoulder.*

"We fought for something, our wars had reason and all the players in them, had purpose."

*The Mandalorian turned away and looked into the light for a moment, he turned his head to look over his shoulder.*

"And now exile is the only path... In the tomb that is called Mantle an army shall rest and return to the galaxy one day to bring it liberation. One day, we will be needed again and on that day, we will triumph over our enemies."

The Commander Jan 25 2013, 3:10pm says:

Part 2:

*The conductors stopped, the last rays of light hit the gathered beam and then dissipated into nothing. The entire Sanctum was now visible and clear, the Force returned to it and flooded over Saber, he felt there was a large artificial Force barrier where the light was, it was lowered now. Revealing an immense orb that was colored a deep black, likely being of Beskar make. It had engraved lines that went into the pattern of Ori'verda's clan, the etching glowed red like it was burning.*

*The orb slowly descended until it reached a point just a bit above the ground.*

"My Mandalorians and your Jedi are allies, for now and forever. And as a member of this alliance, I hope I can count on you as an ally..."

*Ori'verda drew Tremor, his Beskad whom has served with him for many years and been held by his family for many generations. He levelled it low, pointing at Saber's feet.*

"And as a friend. I ask of you, to guard my graveyard."

The resolute Jedi was taken aback. Master Saber gathered his thoughts and spoke, the sheen of Tremor dancing on his face:

"This is quite the request. I would be honored to guard the slumber and legacy of a warrior and friend that has shaped the very galaxy we live in today.
But why entrust such an honor to me? I am not part of your clan, I am not even a Mandalorian."

*His blade still hung there, waiting to be met. Behind Ori'verda another Mandalorian appeared, a hologram of a fiery red Mandalorian.*

"You do I trust you? Why not? I trusted you at Coruscant, I trusted you at Malachor and I trusted you when the Galactic Empire battered down the Mandalorians. You did not let me down."

*He looked over his shoulder to the hologram for a second, it walked forward and stood at Ori'verda's side. Same height, different armor type. Ori'verda looked back at the Jedi Master.*

"Meet Scar, the artificial intelligence of this place. A good friend to me, and I think he will be a good friend to you in time. You two will work together."

*Ori'verda placed a hand on his helmet, walling off sound from Scar.*

"He is incharge of the entire Mantle, keep him from going insane please?"

"But master, how will I go insane when there are so many things to do? Shall I provide a list?"

*Ori'verda moved his hand down and briskly shook it, implying it wasn't necessary. *

"I see..." the Jedi paused. The force surrounding him, clearing his mind.

"Then I will repay your gift of trust with my own," Master Saber said as he draws out his lightsaber from within his robes.

"May the Force be with us then, so that we may return to shape the galaxy once more," Master Saber activated his lightsaber, it's glow intensifying Tremor's sheen. He met the blade, a brilliant light exploding from the clash.

It was done. The Force around the Jedi intensified, as if to welcome the new guardian of the Mantle. The keeper of peace.

The Commander Jan 25 2013, 3:11pm says:

*The Force shook Ori'verda into his core and even the Mantle itself seemed moved by this, Scar as well had been taken aback. He turned and moved to the orb, despite being a digital entity he felt the need to touch it and thus pretend he manually opened the orb.*

"The sphere is ready master."

*The orb ruptured open, into several parts like a flower. At its center was a dim blood red shine, like that of a dying sun. It melded into its own dark red shades over and over as if it was alive and exposed.*

"Wake me, when you need me."

*Ori'verda spoke, before turning and walking into the orb. The light consumed the Mandalorian and he disappeared simply, he had melded away into it. The canopy closed and the orb started to lift to its former site.*

*Scar walked up to Saber and gave him a nod, before turning to look as his master was engulfed in the fiery light of the conductors.*

Description

"Dear crazy old hermit, remember me? Coruscant? Ah the memories! Anyway, I'd like for you to go to the coordinates at the end of this message. Pay me a visit in a little place I'd like to call the Mantle. If you're wondering why, well I think you could use a change in scenery and do you even know how bad the reception is there? I wanted to send you a call but it was impossible! Plus, I have a job for you and you are the only person I trust for this task. I also stress the person part since you will be working together with someone, more on that later though. Oh, and bring that fleet of yours! It will be fun."
