Actually I boycott EA and haven't bought a game published by them since Dead Space 2, I just hate the company and hate most of the games they publish so I guess this cycle doesn't apply to me.

Also, I never pre-order videogames :P

Yeah but I can understand mods are flucking hard to do in BF3/4

I play it often. Not because I like it, I just find BF3 to be an okay dude shooter and I don't have any other popular games that I can play online. But it is a CoD rip-off, I know.

EA/DICE's reason for not supporting modding was 'it would be just too hard to mod'. WELL THEN MAKE IT EASIER! PUBLISH A MODDING SOFTWARE LIKE BATTLECRAFT FOR BF1942, AND FOR BF2! The real reason for them to do that was so that the community could only buy their $50 mods (DLCs) and make more money.
I prefer games with good singleplayer.
Spec Ops: The Line is a FANTASTIC game, if you're someone like me who cares for a good storyline. It really screws with your mind in the end.

Why would BF be a CoD rip-off? The first BF came out in 2002 while the first CoD came out in 2003 ;)

I'm pretty sure CoD was originaly a MoH rip-off, yeah the first MoH is from 1999.

You get the picture.
BF3/4 are MoH rip-offs.

I had a thought yesterday about modding BF3, and decided that if the community got their hands on mod tools now, people would actually stop buying Battlefield 4. That is how copy-pasted that game is. Levolution? Quite probably easy enough to implement on Frostbite 2, a new faction? Yeah well we don't need to answer that one. Project Reality mod for BF3... I'm sold. Multiple bug fixes, nerfs, and better map designs? Done. New vehicles and ship combat? done.

Only problem is that official rented BF3 servers do not support mods.

I never bought EA games. I always maintain the scepticism to realise that Mirrors Edge 2 might wind up being a load of bullcrap

Haven't played an EA game for a very long time and if I wanted to play their games I would clearly pirate them as that's the only way to easily get around day one dlc and drm.

Me neither, they haven't released any titles I care about in a long time besides Dead Space. I don't approve of pirating but EA deserves to be a special exception.

It's okay though, they've made enough money off BF4 to do it again soon.

pFFFFF, maybe under educated masses fall to this cycle. Glad everyone else recognizes the disconnect between the quality of trailer and the games that come out.

Titanfall.
Call of Duty with mechsuits.
There is a certain lack of ingenuity in the gaming industry nowadays.
I'm only really excited for Watch Dogs and Dying Light.

I would add MSGV, Dark Souls 2 and The Wicther 3 but that's about it :/, I honestly think this generation will be the worst for gaming.

Star Citizen. That should open up a new frontier in gaming if all goes as planned.

I remember everyone saying that the y would boycott EA after SimShity.

Then when Battlefront was announced everyone was like HOORAY EA and totally forgot about ShitCity. I sure do wanna punch some people in the face.

Also, i am ULTRA SCARED to what they would do to the Star Wars license. May the force be with us.

I think the biggest issue with EA isn't that they create crappy stuff, its that they rush and dont allow their developers to fully create a product. If they'd just allow a quality product to come out instead of saying "the name will sell" they'd kill every other company because they have the resources already.
