I am a christian and I never vote, specially not in non christians. I do not uave a defeatist mentality, I just do not trust in politicians. I have chosen my King, I need no other in between Him and I.

Respectable.

However, world isn't gonna get any better with us just allowing whomever (christian or not) to come to power because we won't or don't have a say. We have to make it, so we do have a say in these things. And we gotta be loud about it too.

Martin Luther King didn't bring change by being inactive, he got out and joined a movement. A movement that eventually had its voice heard all the way in D.C.

The Civil Rights Act, the move for desegragation of the schools.

These didn't happen through us sitting on our butts. Granted not everyone in these movements were Christians, but a great deal many were a part of such. We gotta start somewhere, and while I admit the choices for political leadership suck lately. We can't throw in the towel. Because if we do, things will just get far worse than right now.

The freedoms this world has, the rights. Are because of the word of God, and Christians who fought tooth and nail to bring that Word to this world. The very things we deem fair and just, go all the way back to the Bible. As long as those things are promoted in politics and society, life will be good. When we stop promoting that, don't be surprised.

When it all falls apart.

Description

Often has it been brought up.
Religion and politics.

While my primary point to make here isn't about separation of church and state. I rather want to cover what's discussed here in the scripture, and add more points I believe should be covered.

It's a established fact that us Christians should obey the government, even if that government has shown oppressive policies. The only time we are too disobey it is when the very laws passed by it go into direct contradiction of what the Lord has ordained for our lives. If the government passes a law that defies our loyalties to Christ. Then we are not obligated to follow it.

It's a responsibility of ours to pray for our leadership. (1 Timothy 2:1-4). As sin is everywhere on this globe and our leaders obviously will need God's help. Much of the suffering on earth is because of godless leadership (Proverbs 28:12). As born-again believers, we ought to strive to choose leaders who will be themselves led by our Creator in their hearts (1 Samuel 12:13-25). As such, righteousness exalts a nation. But sin is a reproach to any people. And a leader with that in mind, will be doubly cautious in their dealings.

The biggest problem today, is Christians who don't care for politics. Christians, who believe we should no longer care, or don't have a say to begin with. You see, where I come from. That's called a defeatist mentality. It doesn't matter how bad things look, still have a responsibility to bring light to this world, till that Trumpet sounds.

Personally I marvel at those, who have the nerve to call themselves Christians. Acclaimed followers of the Lord Jesus Christ, and yet they've abandoned hope. Lets just get this straight, there is no excuse whatsoever for one who calls themself a Christian, yet has abandoned hope. The fact is, this isn't over till God Almighty himself on his throne says it's over.

There's always more work to be done...
And where there's a will, there's a way.

Have a wonderful day.
